Unexpected Events

                                                                      CHAPTER-ONE

There she stood, in the basement of La Carlise hotel, silently her beautiful ivory white dress drenched in blood, her green eyes shone with a cold beam .A slight smirk could be seen on her face .She dropped the weapon from her hand ,a knife which she had stolen from the hotel kitchen. She showed no sign of any remorse instead there was this expression which suggested that she ........got some sort of sick pleasure out of it.  she stood with her legs apart and right beneath her ,sean tresco,her prom date lay ..HALF DEAD.....I could still hear him breathe , very heavily. I stood in front of them, paralysed.

 It was our senior prom.My best friend Lyla and I, Amy Elise Stone, had dreamt of this day ever since the beginning of the year Lyla was an athlete good in sports ..she was actually our school rugby team captain .She looked fragile but was quite tough .She was beautiful ,slim ,perfect skin,perfect hair ,she was flawless in every way.Every girl in school envied her.So did i a little. I on the other hand was'nt as outgoing as she was . i was always on the shy side .Wasn't  as flawless as her.She was better than me in actually everything.People even liked her better. I was shorter, not as skinny, my hair was'nt as perfect. i really never understood why she wanted to be my friend we had nothing in common except for our birthdays which were both on the 12th of June.

 We went shopping together bought beautiful dresses,had hot dates it was going to be perfect.Although ...my best friend stabbing her date had'nt even crossed my mind.I watched her as she dusted her hands,perfected her blond hair held her head up high and walk towards me. I was terrified . i could not breath  or move i looked at  sean ...he was'nt dead he was still alive .He was breathing there was a possibility he'd live if we took him immediately to the hospital. It was unusually silent .I could'nt hear any sounds except for his breathing and her footsteps. She looked at me and just smiled ,it was demented. "We're not going to mention this to anyone are we"she said .I could'nt reply, I opened my mouth to say something but there were'nt any words coming out .I thought to myself anyway people are going to find out she will be put into a juvenile home or something ....maybe it was self defence ...although it didn't really seem that way and i did'nt believe that however hard I tried to she could sense my fear I was literally shivering..finally i built up the nerve to say"why" i tried to sound as firm as possible but my voice was still very shaky.."Well,its not actually my fault" she said in a confident tone "he ran into my knife....he ran into my knife 17 times..haha" she was psychotic!! it was like She was possessed by some spirit she stabbed a guy and was laughing about it. She looked really freaky. i was scared i wanted to run away .my eyes grew wet i took a few steps back .."people will know you killed him. u will be put behind bars ..well,most probably..in a mental institution, you're sick." the smile on her face vanishes she gives me a nasty frown...i move back slowly..she leans forward i know she is going to attack me..i try to run but she pulls me back .she is much stronger than me.."HELP"!! i yell.  . i had never seen her like this.  she was the sweetest person i knew and now she was standing in front of me trying to hurt me."I like you,Amy your my best friend you choose, you can help me finish him and not tell anyone about this or well i will have no other option but to kill you". My heart was racing. I had no other option I had to help her. Still trembling i nodded my head slowly. " Good, he's almost dead anyway, I'll finish him off then you help me burrey him.Too bad he had to die, he was a handsome fellow." I was too scared to ask her anything. I figured for my safety it was best not to say anything. I stood there starring at the ground. She turned around to sean. He was'nt there. he had vanished.

"WHERE IS HE??" she yelled. he was no where around . there absolutely was no sign. the knife was gone too. there wasn't even any blood there it was like nothing happened .i was shocked.  I was sure i saw her stabbing him.  He couldn't have got up and left he was in a terrible state. "someone must have picked him up and taken him" i thought to myself  but there was no one around.Well whatever happened i was relieved. He had escaped.Although i was still there and she was furious. her skin growing paler,her eyes darker. i said a short prayer in my mind. "Lets go home" she said  turned around and walked toward her car which was parked there. She asked me to get in. I did so obediently. The drive was very long.My house was 10 minutes away,although it seemed like 10 hours. She did not say a word neither did I. Finally we reached home. She dropped me outside the gate and left. I ran home. i immediately went to my room. I did'nt say a word to my parents who were eagerly waiting to ask me about my evening. I was quite shaken up by this incident, who would'nt be. i fell on my bed. Tried to forget about what happened although it seemed quite impossible. i wondered how sean was,what happened to him. I  got up took a hot shower,tried washing away all what happened,well that's usually my  reaction to everything, tried pushing out all the memories of the day well obviously that did'nt happen. i changed into my night clothes,popped a sleeping pill in my mouth laid on  on my bed and shut my eyes tight.

Next morning i was awakened by a lot of loud noises, I went downstairs saw the door was open and there were a lot of cops outside. My parents were talking to them. They saw me and stopped. MY mum was crying ."Honey, Your friend sean's dead " my dad said "His body was found on our porch"
