Y/N's POV
I wake up to a cold bed. I turn around expecting to see my boyfriend but he isn't there. I check our shared bathroom but he isn't in there either. Ok now I'm censored. He never just leaves out of the blue and he always waits for me to wake up especially on special occasions. Omg what is he forgot my birthday. No I can't go through that again. When I was 14 my family forgot my birthday for the first time and it hurt so badly. They did the same last year and Daniel saw how hurt I was so I doubt he would do the same but he is a very busy man. I start panicking because I can't find him anywhere and there is only one more room in the house he could possibly be in. I sprint to the living room praying to every God, king, Queen and freaking dog that he is in there.
Daniel's POV
'Perfect' I think to myself. The decorations look perfect. Well as far as my decoration abilities go it's perfect. I turn around to open the door as I am greeted with those beautiful e/c eyes. But something is wrong, they are filled with panic.
Her arm fly around me in a hug I can't resist even though I wasn't expecting it.
"I thought you l-left" I her her faint voice through the muffles of my shirt
" How could I leave my beautiful Angel on her special day ay?"
She smiles lightly at me. That smile is about to glow like the power of a million stars when she sees her present.
" ok now I want you to close your eyes!"
" no NO not the puppets again Ricciardo I swear to god if you bring that fuc-"
" it's not a puppet trust me now close your eyes and stay there I'll be right back"
Back to Y/N
I here him leave but he is back within a minute maybe two. I'm scared because last time he made me close my eyes he shoved me in a room with puppets and I have the biggest fear of puppets. I get shivers just thinking about it. I hear him moving around until he seams to stop right in front of me.
" now open your eyes" he says softly
I open my eyes to be met with the cutest sight ever. Daniel holding a small golden retriever puppy. I widen my eyes in awe as I step back in shock.
" Happy birthday sweetheart"
I can't fight the tears anymore. This is the best gift anyone could ever give me.
" OMG no way you're lying!"
" Nope! She's all ours"
He puts the small animal down and takes my face in his hands to kiss me. As I start to melt into it I feel something or rather someone scratching my leg. I pull back and giggle down at the dog. I bend down to stroke it and Daniel joins me in giving the dog so much wanted love.
And that was the day our family begun. Just the three of us against the world.
