The world we live in seems normal. Some people don't even notice half of the things that are happening for us. Or rather the things that are happening to us. The people we see as equals, the ones that make decisions for us, make them in favor of themselves.
The story of our world is different to everyone. Every single person thinks we survived a massive destructive force. Some believe from outer space, an inhuman kind of spirit saved us. Gave us a second chance.

They don't like that. Irrational, to them it sounds as incontrollable. They created a system to control our every move. Our lives are decided before we are even old enough to walk or to think. When you don't fit into the life they created for you, they get rid of you. They are desperate for the perfect world.
The very few people who notice, do this in silence. Don't dare to say a word and do as they're told. They ones who notice, notice each other. Having silent conversations about the thought that they must break free. To run away. But no one ever dares. The ones who did, never made it out.
But some nights I sit on top of my house, watching the moon and the stars. The world that moves beyond the houses we created. The empty land. It is peaceful. I long for it. The freedom. The fresh air. And tonight, I am leaving, for good. One last look. One last thought. And then... I run
