I started my walk down to the park. It was 7:30, my shirt glowed in the night. I was walking along the sidewalk looking at the tall oak trees lining the path. I thought about the light, and Wesley, how his slick brown hair glistened in the sun, his smile with his pearly white teeth when he asked me to come to the park.
He was SO handsome. I have never had an interest in boys, EVER, but it was just something about Wesley. Yes, we were bound by the light, but...that wasn't it. He just has...has this charm about him, an aura almost, but it just seems that the light didn't give him that charm. He found it himself, within his soul, it's like it was hiding there until it was ready, and it came out.
Since we are bound by the light though, maybe I have an aura too. I...I don't know. Maybe when the time comes, I will feel it, I will feel it when it comes out.
I arrived at the park. The trees hung high in the sky, making a blanket over the park. The grass was glowing green in the the moonlight, and the crickets happily chirped. The most beautiful thing though, was the fireflies. They buzzed around gracefully, their little bodies flickering in the moonlight. It reminded me of the light.
Then I saw a really tall boy, with his brown hair slicked back and shining, and his smile as bright as the sun. His hazel eyes were looking at me, bright in the moonlight. It was Wesley.
He was wearing a black striped shirt with khakis.
"Gwen your absolutely stunning."
I blushed.
"You too." My face was hot.
There was a moment of silence.
"Wesley?"
"Yes?"
"What...what happened, to your...your parents?"
I turned into a ripe tomato.
"My parents abandoned me after I was born, a orphanage took me in, but I ran away when I was 3, I wanted to fend for myself." He said quietly.
"What...about, you Gwen?"
"I...I was never accepted by my parents, ever since I was a baby the rejected me, you know why, they work all the time and never say hello. EVER." I shuddered.
"You...get it." He said.
"YOU get it." I said. Then something happened, slowly we got closer, and closer, and closer still. We touched, lips. LIPS. I felt warm and fuzzy in his arms. IT comes gradually, then...then all at once. This...this is...is LOVE.
