Tick, tick, tick. Hyper focusing on the clock made the only thing he could hear was the endless ticking. The clock that layed on the wall of their homerooom classroom ticked closer and closer to 3:15 - the end of the school day and the end of the week. Bakugo itched to leave, wanting to to get out of school as soon as possible. Even though he knew that glaring at the clock wasn't going make time go quicker, he couldn't help having a stare down with it. It was like his eyes had been glued onto the beige glass clock.

In his defense, it had been a stressful week filled with extra studying and practical training with Todoroki. He pushed himself to his limits, his muscles screaming and groaning in pain from all the hard work. But, he couldn't complain. He was doing this because he wanted to, after all, he was going to become the greatest hero the world has ever seen.

And, there was something that he was looking forward to greatly. At their request, he was going to spend the weekend at his parent's house.

Mitsuki and Masaru were going on a trip somewhere. They must've told him where, but he didn't pay attention to insignificant information such as that. Since it was such a tiresome week, he agreed, as he thought that he could use some alone time. What was the harm of some house sitting for two days?

So, Bakugo sat, scrutinising the clock. Not listening to a word Ms Midnight had to say, he leaned back on his chair and put his aching feet up on his desk. The final class felt agonisingly long, minutes felt like hours, but thankfully the bell rang to signal the end of the school week.

Instantly, Kaminari and Mina were all packed up and ready, also desperate to leave, while the classmates sat in their chair, still dazed with sleep. The bell was still sounding when Midnight was still talking, wrapping up the day's lesson. But, Bakugo was already out the door.

When he exited the classroom, Bakugo headed straight for the dorms. He had already packed all the necessities he might've needed, which wasn't much, in the morning. Since he didn't have a lot, he placed his things in a relatively small black backpack. Katsuki did this to save time in the afternoon.

If he was being honest, the only reason he was so eager to agree was because he could get a break from his classmates' stupidity. This meant a break for his voice from shouting all the time. Not going to lie, it could take some rest, too.

Hurrying, he took off his blazer to leave it in his dorm room. Katsuki wasted no time leaving because he knew his parents would be leaving the house in a little less than an hour. If he was late, he would be locked out and have to go back to UA. Definitely not gonna let that happen, he thought.

Denki had asked where he was going on Bakugo's way out, since he was about to invite him to a hang out. However, he informed him of his leave in his usual impolite manner.

The trip from his school to his home was a blur. He let his muscle memory take over and bring him to his parent's house. Dragging his feet along the pavement, he struggled to walk and he just wanted to collapse from fatigue. He had seriously overworked himself that week, he didn't even get his usual 9 hours of beauty sleep.

Bakugo wouldn't be seen dead admitting that he was a nerd. But, all his classmates would say - without a doubt - that he was one. After all, he spent most days either training or studying. Hell, he had the best grades in his class, even topping Todoroki Shoto and Yaoyurozu Momo! It was obvious that he was strong mentally.

Among the classmates, he was one of the strongest physically too. He exerted himself everyday, which pushed himself and his quirk to its limits. If he can't be the best at something, why do it at all? That was his thought process.

Finally arriving, he breathed a sigh of relief. Bakugo's parents were talking in the open doorway, the hum of their car filled his ears: melodic, nostalgic and sort of relaxing, until his mum caught sight of him.

"Katsuki!" Mitsuki ran to her son, ruffling his spiky hair, "We gotta get going - so see you. Be good, brat. Don't break my shit."

Bakugo growled, "Whatever, hag."

"Bye Katsuki, love you!" Masaru waved, entering his car with his wife.

He watched as the car pulled away from the driveway carefully and sped down the road, getting smaller as it eventually disappeared from view. At that moment, he turned on his heels and entered the quiet, empty house. Inside, the first thing he did was collapse on the couch that seemed way more comfortable than usual

He grinned, closing his eyes. 'This weekend is going to be a good one,' he thought, sleep taking over him.
