The sky was illuminated by the fall of a star, a brilliant trail that made its way to fall on a distant island. The sky and the sea were the only witnesses to the event. Then night and silence reigned again.
The star rested on a flattened circular-shaped rock, and the fire that surrounded it began to gradually extinguish thanks to the sea breeze, which also slowly wore away the edges of the space rock, turning it into a small child that remained a mess.
The little boy's mind was not active during his creation, but he was slowly becoming aware, as the cooling was closer to ending.
First, he had the sensation of being suspended in nothing. Then a warm sensation moved through his limbs to lodge in his chest. Then, he was aware of the wind, the sound of some rumble in the distance, and a loud tinkle, several bells that seemed to reverberate inside him until he came out of his lethargy.
The first thing he realized when his bright eyes opened was that it was dark, then he saw dark clouds in the distance that became visible with the luminescence of sporadic lightning; that was the roar he heard earlier.
The wind brought with it some humidity and the smell of the sea. It might seem like a terrifying scenario, but the little boy's mind was still far from processing the existence of danger. The warmth inside him was like a nice memory from the past that gave him security, although he certainly didn't know where the feeling came from.
He stood up slowly, wobbling with his first steps, and observed his surroundings carefully. A couple of meters in front of him was a small statue that resembled the upper part of a person, its edges were oval and smooth; he looked more like a little boy. On the sides of the statue were some rocks stacked like columns, six columns on each side.
The boy slowly turned around, familiarizing himself with the new environment that was a small island. In addition to the rock columns, on the right side of the island, there was a strange door on a huge rock, which seemed to lead nowhere. The door was likewise made of rock and had a strange engraving of an eye; a circle with some perpendicular lines.
On the left side of the island, there was a long mound of earth with several recesses and some engravings on them: the first was a complete body with only the legs highlighted, the second highlighted the face, the third the hair, on the fourth highlighted the drawing of a cape, and in the fifth, there was only the drawing of a small sun.
The boy looked down at his bare feet, realizing that he was on an equally rocky platform.
Where exactly was he and what is this place?
"Home."
The word appeared in his mind as if he had summoned it. Somehow, the simple word caused him security and calm, as if with it he knew that he was where he belonged. Even though his surroundings were dark, he was certain that he was safe.
The little boy's mind felt light. There was still no information to think about or ideas to develop. For the moment, he seemed to be floating on a soft cloud that had only lifted a little when he found out he was Home. And suddenly, a new word cleared the fog in his mind a little more.
"Nirabata."
His name. It was his name. And he was strangely happy to discover that he had one.
Nirabata blinked a few times, becoming more aware of reality. Despite the darkness, he felt the surroundings become sharper. It was there that he noticed a pair of rock pillars that seemed to shine, and was to the left side of the small statue.
The boy advanced towards the arch curiously. He did it slowly, with wobbly steps like those of a newborn, crushing the soft grass, pleasant to the touch with his little bare feet. Being close to the arch, he realized that what was shining was an image that oscillated in a kind of mist; It looked like just mounds of sand.
The boy cocked his head curiously and moved closer.
"Isle of Dawn."
The new name echoed equally in his mind. There seemed to be something inside him that recognized everything around him, although as strange as it was, he was also sure that this was the first time he had seen everything.
The little boy stretched out his hand into the mist between the arch. He had a small tingling sensation in his limb before he withdrew it and made sure his hand was whole and healthy. And then, without hesitation, he stepped over the threshold into a new world.
