Anagapesis
(n.) no longer feeling any affection for someone you once loved

Three years ago, those pretty pink lips and those emerald-doe eyes would have had him on his knees.

Three years ago, those enchanting smiles and warming hugs would have had him melting before her, yearning for more.

Three years ago, that metallic brown hair and fiery confidence would have had him head over heels.

Three years ago, he was on his knees.

He was melting.

And he sure as hell was head over heels. Head over heels in love with her.

Love. What an odd little word.

But everything that would have, could have, and should have happened ended when she decided to shatter his world and leave him in a broken mess, letting the shards crunch under her feet as she walked out on him without a second thought three fucking years ago

And then, just like that, she was back.

After years of psychological torture, she was back.

Standing right there before him.

And she was delusional if she thought nothing had changed over the years because the boy she knew was no longer the same.

She had ruined him and now, it was his turn.

He was going to ruin her.

Break her.

Make sure that once he was done with her, all she would be was a wilting flower lost in an orchid of blossoms.

Unseen.

Invaluable.

Insignificant and forgotten.

The path to revenge had been perfectly carved out and there was nothing stopping him from racing down that path straight to the finish line.

All he knew was that she'd hurt him so bad, and it hurt so good to finally have a chance to return the favor tenfold.

Once again, trigger warning.
