After a long week of waiting it was finally Friday, meaning that they had Potion's for the day.

Heinrich was one of the first to enter the classroom, the other was a female Gryffindor named Hermione Granger. He remembered her from the sorting.

He also remembered the look of distain that a red-head who was stuffing his face with roasted chicken and baked potatoes shot at her when she had explained how the roof of the Great Hall was, in her words, 'Bewitched to look like the night sky'.

She seemed like an intelligent person, the only problem with her was that she tended to show off her abilities.

Heinrich looked behind him when he felt a dark grey aura approach him. If he remembered correctly the one sitting beside him was Theodore Nott.

He suspected that they had similar childhood's but he didn't get to say anything to him as the door slammed open revealing their Head of House and the rest of the student's in tow.

"There will be no wand-waving or silly incantations in class." He chanted.

"As such, I don't expect any of you to understand the beauty of potion making. To understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron, the power of different concoctions creeping through the human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses. I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death." He spoke. Although he chanted in a voice akin to a whisper, it still carried out to the entire room.

"That is unless, of course, if you are as so kind as to Not. Pay. Attention."

The professor's eyes zeroed into a lanky boy with with ginger red hair, blue eyes and freckles adorning his cheeks who looked very close to dozing off. "Mr. Weasley! What happens if you put powdered asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"

Heinrich's mind immediately supplied the answer for the given question, and he looked at his classmate expectantly. "I-I don't know." He looked at the lanky boy incredulously, it was a fairly easy question. It was something you could find in at least chapter 2–3 of the listed potions book.

The professor clicked his tongue,"Clearly, you hadn't thought to open a book before coming to my class, Mr. Weasley." He drawled.

"Well then, let's see if anyone else knows the answer." He quietly, but loud enough for everyone to here which made the lanky boy's face turn as red as his hair in embarrassment as Heinrich raised his hand along with Draco Malfoy.

Their professor seemed to hesitate before picking him, "If powdered asphodel were put into an infusion of wormwood it would create a sleeping potion so potent that it is called The Draught Of Living Death. The reason for its name is because people who have ingested it are reduced into a death-like sleep." He answered confidently.

"Correct, Mr....?"

"Riddle, Heinrich Alaric Riddle, sir."
