Twilight, the Alicorn Princess

A blinding light shone as my hooves touched the ground. As my vision began to clear, a familiar voice called out to me. "Twilight? Is that you?" I felt a slight twitch in my back, and a sudden burst of air surrounded me, as if some pony had opened their wings behind me. I stood up straight, hearing my friends audible gasp as the light fades.

"I-um I-I've never seen anything like it!" Applejack said coming up to me. I turned to see my purple wings, which I gave a tug just to see if they were real.

"Ah, Twilight's got wings! AWESOME! A new flying buddy!" Rainbow gave me a huge hug, as Rarity made her way over. "Why you've become an Alicorn! I didn't even know that was possible!" Suddenly a pink earth pony comes flying past on a rope swing shouting out for the world to hear, with a party hat attached to her head; "ALICORN PARTY!"

Fluttershy came over too. "Wow, you look just like a princess." Suddenly princess Celestia landed behind us. "That's because she is a princess." (I'm your mother! NOOOO!... I'm just joking! Or am I?...)

Everypony gasped. "HUH?---" (That means they said it for AGES). Pinkie put out her hoof. "Hold on a second!" She pulled out a glass of water and took a mouthful before spitting it out in surprise. I quickly recovered. "A-a princess?" Celestia came up to me. "Since you've come to ponyville, you've displayed the charity," Rarity stood tall, "compassion," Fluttershy looked up at me humbley, (I know it's not a word, just deal with it!) "devotion" Rainbow smiled, "integrity," A.J put her best hoof forward and gave a bright smile, "optimism" Pinkie bounced happily on the spot,"and of course, the leadership of a true princess."

I lowered my head. "But does this mean I won't be your student anymore?" Celestia joined my friends. "Not in the same way as before. I'll still be here to help and guide you, but we're all your students now too." Following Celestia's lead, everypony bowed to me, and I smiled brightly at them. "You are an inspiration to us all Twilight."

I was suddenly worried. "What do I do now?! Is there a book about being a princess I should read?!" Celestia chuckled. "There will be time for all of that later."

And that's how I became a princess.
