it took far too long for mattheo riddle to make his way into your room tonight.
you never asked him what he was up to, but every night as soon as he arrived in your room, you would reprimand him for making you wait.
so tonight, as soon as he made his way in, you cleared your throat to get his attention.
"earth to mattheo, earth to mattheo."
your banter earned a chuckle from the normally brooding boy.
"sorry for leaving you waiting, love. i just can't imagine how difficult it must be to be you."
"what are you going on about, riddle?"
"nothing. just that you get to sit in your comfortable bed and simply wait, yet you still complain."
you rolled your eyes at him as he made his way into his spot in your bed next to you.
"i complain because i'd rather spend my nights with you, not waiting around."
you turned your head to meet his eyes, which were already searching for yours.
"don't turn sappy on me now, l/n"
mattheo reached his hand over to give your waist a quick tickle, resulting in you letting out a small laugh.
you used your position to roll yourself over him, straddling him.
you leaned down and placed a chaste kiss on his lips, pulling away quickly.
mattheo dragged your face back down using his hands and connected your lips once again.
the two of you only separated when mattheo leaned away.
"i'll come earlier from now on, darling."
"really?"
"really. i love you, you know?"

you heard a scoff come from the boy under you.
"what, no 'i love you' back?"
"oh, look who's getting sappy now."
