Chapter 19

"JAYDEN" I jump up looking around to see everyone standing in front of me laughing and holding cameras up.

"Oh fuck you guys" I say throwing the blanket over my head until I get rolled off the couch and flop down on the floor.

"Get up you flop" Trevor says kicking me in the leg.

"No. Sleep." I say into the carpet. Someone lifts me up and sets me on the couch.

"Jayden you look like shit" I open my eyes and see Lauren standing in front of me.

"Thanks Lauren" I say trying to fix my hair.

"Your welcome" she says laughing then helps me so I look half way decent. Mikey walks over with a McDonalds sandwich and hands it to me then sits down lifting me onto his lap and throwing a blanket back over us.

"So you guys went to McDonalds without me?" I ask and everyone nods then goes back to what they were doing before. "I see how it is" I say taking a bit of my sandwich.

"What are we doing today?" Jake asks pulling Lauren down onto his lap.

"How about Pitch Perfect 2?" Jenn says laying across Luke.

"Yes!" Lauren and me yell at the same time and all the boys look at each other.

"Fine but we are going shopping afterwards" Luke says getting up.

"Yeah then maybe Luke and I can find our own girlfriends and not be loners" Trevor says laughing.

"Luke is going to marry a toaster" Mikey says and Luke glares at him then starts laughing.

"That's very true Michael" he says getting up running over to us and landing on my lap. I flick him in the head and he gets up then walks back over to sit by Trevor. My mom comes walking downstairs and into the kitchen. I look at Jake and we walk to the kitchen.

"Mom?" Jake asks placing his hand on her back.

"Sorry kids. Just one of those times where I am thinking about it" she says and we both hug her. I feel people watching and I turn to see them all standing there. I motion them over and they all join in. "Thanks kiddos" she says smiling after we all let go.

"Mom," Jake pauses and pulls Lauren towards him, "meet Lauren. Lauren, Grace" he says and they smile at each other.

"My baby got a girlfriend" my mom says walking up to them and bringing them into a hug.

"It's nice to meet you, Grace" Lauren says after they let go.

"You too honey. I can tell you're a keeper and not only because I like you" she says and winks at Jake which makes him blush. He grabs onto Lauren's hand and pulls her back into the living room and everyone follows, but Mikey and I.

"Mom," I say and she turns to me, "is it okay if me and Jake do online school?" I ask and grab onto Mikey's hand. He calms me down by rubbing his thumb over my hand.

"Yeah sure I mean as long as you guys finish this year out strong and get your work done and stuff" she says then goes back to her breakfast. I hug and thank her then grab Mikey's hand and walk back into the living room to join the rest of them.

"Jake we are doing online school for our last year, but mom said we have to actually do the work or we are going back to public school" I say.

"So that mean I can visit Lauren and not have to worry about missing school" he says and looks over at Lauren. I get up to hear my phone going off. I check the screen and see a message from Mikey. Locking my screen I walk upstairs and he gets up to follow. When he gets in here he walks over to me and we climb onto the roof.
