Chapter 1

Authors note ig :) at the beginning of each chapter I'm gonna put a song that I recommend you listen to while reading. I love music soooo I thought I should do this lol.  

y/n pov: I walk into the dumbass coffee shop I work at named Duffee. It's one of those really nice aesthetic places people come to to study or just get a cute drink to take pictures with. Love the place hate the person I work with. I used to work with this girl names Usagi but she quit. Now I'm left all alone with the creep named Niragi. He annoys me to my core. He's always hitting on me while we're at work. 

"Like your boots y/n!" Niragi smirked as he said that. I wanted to uppercut him. 

"I'll step on your toes with them."

"Kinky!"

I step behind the counter and put on my apron. This place is a 24 hour coffee shop and is somehow always busy. We really need a third person here. I made a help wanted poster and put it out front but so far no one. Surprised none of these micro influencer bitches wanna work here. 

I'm making these peoples drinks and one of those tiktok people who interview random people walks in. He interviews the customers and then steps in line. He ordered a drink and then asked me a question. He pointed a tiny mic at me and asked if I liked working here. I just said a plain yes because I get like 5 of these people every week, Fucking annoying. Niragi looked at me and laughed. "At least make it sound convincing." "I don't get why they always ask me questions and never you. They always leave me their number too it's weird." Guys left me their numbers and told me to call them so many times I made a jar to keep them all in just incase I ever get that desperate. "It's because you're hot." "Shut up." I shoulder him and then take the next order. 

7 hours later and my shift is over and it's time for the night people to take over. There's one worker named Chishiya whos pretty cool. I'd much rather work with him then Niragi. He walks in the café as I'm hanging up my apron. "Oh hey! you're usually late why so early today?" "My job is kinda at risk right now because I'm always late so I figured I should probably come a bit earlier." Chishiya slides past me and grabs his apron "Trust me they won't fire you we're understaffed enough right now." 

I walk out the building and it's raining and there's a kitty. It weirdly reminded me of Chishiya. It was white and black but more white the black. I love cats. I wish I could take it home but my room mate would be very pissed. She's allergic to cats and dogs and basically everything. She's a big fucking bitch. My apartment complex is only a few blocks away so I just walk home drenched in the rain. I love the rain. I wish it could rain all the time. When I get to the steps in my apartment building I get a pit in my stomach. The pit just gets bigger as I press the button for my floor on the elevator and look for my keys in my purse and use the cat key I got from Walmart to open the door. I can hear my room mate and her boyfriend fighting through the door. I was about to unlock it but then I change my mind and put the key in my purse and go back to the elevator and walk out the building. I'd rather chill in the rain for a little while longer, see if they actually work it out or if I'm gonna have to play marriage counselor again. I pull out a cig from my purse, light it, and smoke it.
