5. Our home isn't safe

It was nighttime on Pandora, rain had fallen over the forest.

We were all very much still kidnapped.

We stood up, the Avatar's having
a rough hold on our braids so we
wouldn't move.

What a bunch of assholes.

Animals were heard over the pouring rain, Quaritch walks behind the group with his gun, guarding. Watching the forest as he knew who was coming for us.

Jake and Ney'tiri were up in the trees as they share a look. He signals his wife to go left. They split ways, Neytiri places a hand on the branch, leaping over it. She sneakily made her way over, closer to the enemy.

"Watch our six." Quaritch tells the one
holding me and Lo'ak.

I hiss at them as Lo'ak growls a little in warning as we're roughly shoved to the front. A gun is placed on my head.

What do these people have against me, man.

A familiar calling in the
distance caused our ears to perk up.

Up in the trees, Neytiri moved to lean
against one, her bow and arrow in hand. She yips to her
children and me, telling us that they
were here.

On the ground, Jake's silhouette appeared as he held his axe weapon in one hand, creeping up behind an Avatar soldier. He goes to
attack silently, knocking him out as
quiet as possible and places him on the ground.

Neytiri was peeking out from her cover, aiming her bow and arrow at the Avatar who was holding me and Lo'ak.

However, she couldn't get a clean shot without me getting hurt. I knew and saw this. She would never risk it.

Neytiri let's out a huff before looking back again, locking eyes with me.

I nod my head to her, trying to communicate that I would move in time. I gave her a small reassuring smile.

To be completely honest, I was a little nervous. One second too late and boom. Out like a light.

Neytiri put her faith in me, she takes a deep breath and releases the arrow. Hitting the male Avatar in the head, his body hitting the ground, dead.

This caused the Avatars to shout and
yell, Three of the Avatars go to fire their guns at Neytiri. She swiftly
avoids them and hides behind the thick branch.

"Stay close to me" Lo'ak whispered against my ear. He pushes me behind him, and unclips the smoke grenade on the Avatar's belt close to them, causing green smoke to appear
out from it.

I make a run for it, going where Tuk was. I elbow the Avatar holding her in the stomach, pulling her to safety.

"Tuk! Come on!" I shout over the gunfire running with the small girl.

I didn't make it far, the same Avatar grabbed me back with full force, causing me to wince as the pain from the cuts and bruises emerged.

He tries to pull my hair, to get me under control. I quickly dodge his grab and elbow his stomach once more.

He bends lower as I grab him and knee his private area. He yells in pain, kneeling to the floor.

"How do you like that bitch"

I take one last hit to the face before I pickpocket his knife and run towards tuk and lo'ak.

We all try to sprint to safety, it
was now time for the parents to make an appearance.

Jake runs up behind an Avatar, as he turns and deflects his swing with his gun, but Jake had the upper hand and sliced his axe weapon against his body with a grunt, causing the Avatar to drop.
