CHAPTER 4 : D̶o̶g̶ Dewwy Attack

It was a beautiful morning. You opened the window in your room and felt the breeze flow through your (h/l), (h/c) hair. The breeze tickled your face and was cold. It was refreshing.

The sun was just barely peeking up from behind the trees, beginning to warm your face. You wondered if M3GAN would like to sit outside with you and feel the hot sun and cool breeze as well. But then you remembered her main primary user was Cady. You felt a little deflated at that thought, air wooshing out of your artificial lungs.

"Whatever," You thought aloud. "It won't hurt to ask. And if Cady wants to come, so what. She seems like a nice kid... Apart from disliking her aunt."

You opened the door and left your room, walking briskly down the hall and peering in Cady's room. No one there, not even Cady.

You sighed, turning to leave when your heart nearly lept out of your chest.

There stood M3GAN, directly behind you. Looking intently at you.

"JESUS CHRIST!" You shrieked.

"Nope, just M3GAN!" She giggled.

You sighed, allowing the feeling of relief to sweep over you. Gosh, why did she always have to scare you like that? You weirdly liked it. You liked how she kept you on your toes.

"Heh, hey. Why'd you scare me like that?" You asked lightheartedly.

M3GAN seemed to have an even more amused expression than she had before. "I didn't mean to."

You gave her the same look she gave you last night. You looked her up and down. "Are you sure?" You asked in the same tone she had.

M3GAN seemed to take a moment to process how you were acting just like her from the night before. "Positive." She said.

You weren't the best at flirting back. "Okay." You smiled shyly.

M3GAN seemed to have a mischievious grin plastered smoothly upon her silicone face.

Does she like me? You wondered.

Then you remembered that you wanted to invite her to watch the sunrise. Or what was left of it.

"Oh! M3GAN, do you want to watch the sunrise with me? Well, what's left of it I mean?" You asked quickly before you forgot.

M3GAN seemed intrigued. "Oh, sure! I'd love to." She said, tilting her head and smiling, allowing her golden, ginger locks to swoop over to her left side.

Cady ran up to you guys. "Hey! Do you guys wanna play?" She asked cheerfully.

"Oh, uh, M3GAN and I were gonna go enjoy the outdoors. Can we play outside?" You asked nervously.

Cady seemed even more excited. "Sure! That's where I wanted to play anyway!" She turned sharply, her long, dark brown hair flying back behind her. "See you guys out there!" She called back to you and M3GAN as she ran out the front door.

You and M3GAN began walking to the door. You didn't immediately realize it, but you absentmindedly held her hand. You only noticed when the ginger robot turned her head and looked at you. You were confused at first, but then you looked down when she squeezed you by the hand.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't realize I grabbed your hand. Or... held it." You said embarrassedly.

M3GAN smiled at you. "I'm not complaining." She said.

You face grew hot and lit up again.

"It's cute when your system symbolizes blush." M3GAN said.

All that did was make your face get even hotter.
