Going back to her dorm that night Eri sat and thought about what she had done. An outburst like that could ruin any chances she had of fitting in, being accepted by the people around her. Of course she had Ryder, Hermione, and Harry. Not to mention those she met coming to Hogwarts.
It was scary, the idea of not fitting in at the school. She was already getting looks for her name alone, now tomorrow she'd be dealing with people thinking of her as a lunatic for yelling at a teacher, especially the new one. For all she knew the toad lady could already be well liked (though she doubted it)
Eridanus sat at the desk provided for her and wrote about how much she missed her family and that she wished she could be home with Andy and Ted eating dinner with them. Then she wrote a letter to Moody which would be given to Sirius, along with two others, one for the portrait of her mother and one for the one of Regulus.
She did not go to dinner with her dorm mates that night and after they mentioned to her that Ryder asked how she was and that he should come see him if something was going on.
Eri only nodded and left the room.

Sitting in the bathroom of the Ravenclaw dorms Eridanus stared down at the floor thinking. Thinking too much for her own mind to keep up. The voice of her mother screaming at her to stand up and face her problems like a Black would only made everything worse.
Eri pulled a photo out of the book she had taken to the bathroom with her. Her big brothers, laughing together. She imagined what it would be like if they were around while she was growing up.
Maybe she wouldn't have been so alone, they might have told her stories and argued on what happened in the stories. They would have been the ones teaching her how to play Quidditch and picking her up to get books and cookies, and even putting the star on the Christmas tree.
Maybe her mum would still be around.
She remembered the words Sirius told her at the train station
"If you ever want to come home, just tell Dumbledore or Minerva."
Eridanus felt a warm wet tear roll down her face. It felt like it was in slow motion.
She wanted to go home.
-
She had ran down the hall, a stitch in her side from not being used to running for so long, and began banging on Minerva McGonagall's door. The elder woman opened the door with her wand held high to the tear ridden red faced Eridanus Black.
"I want to go home"
They were the only words she could get out before breaking into a sobbing fit once more.
-
"I WANT TO GO HOME"
"Sirius, mate! SIRIUS" James Potter shook the screaming teen violently to wake him from his nightmare. "Mate it's okay. You're safe now"
"'M sorry Prongs I just had the strangest dream, my mum had another kid and my dad was dead so he couldn't be the good parent for that poor kid and I just-"
"You needed to go home." James cut his friend off, Sirius began crying, softly as to not disturb the pregnant Lily who was sleeping upstairs. He had been staying with the Potters for a week now, James had been kicked out of the bedroom for snoring so he was there to keep his friend company in his lonesome state in the sitting room of his own house. "I get it, if I had a family as crazy as you and I knew they were bringing another innocent life into that dome of darkness I would want to go too. Just to make sure that kid was safe from it all." He paused, slowly releasing Sirius from his bear hug "But it was only a dream. Your mother would have made an announcement in the Daily Prophet if she was bringing a new 'Heir of Black' into the world"

In what felt like a world away Walburga Black sat on the bathroom floor of her room, wiping her mouth after a violent bout of morning sickness came upon her. Slowly she brought her hand down from her mouth and cradled her child, who was still safe in her womb. Safe from the dangers the world brought to them. She slowly stood and moved to walk to her oldest child's room. Still the same shameful way it was the day he left their home. She sighed at the room, the only thing left she had of her only living son. Moving to sit on the bed that had been taken over by dust she let out a small whimper, and then a small tear.
She wished he would come home, in all of her anger towards his rebellion she wished she could see him, talk to him one last time, maybe even introduce him to his new sibling. But sadly that was not going to happen. Not in the way she would have intended.

Minerva held a crying Eri as she called Sirius through the floo, explaining to him what had happened and that she had asked to go home.
"Send her here Minnie. She wants to be here." Eridanus had begun shaking at that point and the elder woman got her to stand and they got into the fireplace together. She got to the house in the same time that Remus and Sirius had gotten dressed and wrote to Andy and Ted.
"I've got it from here, you got back to Hogwarts." Sirius told her while moving to take Eridanus out of her arms and began cradling the teen.
"Let me know when she gets to feeling better."
"We will" Remus spoke up, moving to hug the professor and sending her off.
"I can't go back"
-
"You can't go back" Euphemia Potter spoke
-
"DON'T YOU EVER DARE COME BACK" His own mother screamed at him
