Chapter 1

12 June 2005.
"Dad, can you please buy me a pink teddy bear for my birthday tomorrow?" Luna asked her father.

"Alright, my angel. What else do you need?" her father Diego Mercedes asked.

Well, nothing else just a teddy bear and a mother's handbag for mom.

    Her mother jumped into the conversation. "Why should your daddy buy me a mother's handbag?" she asked, smiling.

    
You have to bring a lot of food to work to feed my baby brother. Can I feel him kick?

   
   The couple burst into laughter as their daughter, who was an extremely talkative girl, spoke non-stop.

    "You are such a darling." Her mother replied with so much happiness and love in her eyes.
Alright, you can put your hand on my belly...

   "She said, "Wow, my baby brother is kicking!" and asked her father to feel her mother's belly.

    He is so active, I bet he will be just like me his father.

   " "Yes, Dad, just like you," she chipped in.

   
Alright, it's now time for bed. Lunalina finally reminded the father and daughter.

    02 am 13 June 2005
Diego heard noises downstairs and decided to investigate.

Hey baby where are you going? His wife Lunalina asked as she rubbed her eyes.

I heard some noises downstairs maybe Luna has woken up. Let me check will be back.

    Alright but hurry up and please bring Luna here she can sleep with us for tonight, i am sure she had another nightmare.

    "Okay, I will bring her," Diego responded as he left the bedroom.

Diego had just arrived at the hallway when he heard noises coming from his daughter's bedroom. His heart started racing, and in a split second, he ran towards her room. As soon as he entered the room, his heart skipped a beat; he saw three masked men destroying everything in sight. Diego charged at one of the men and fought with all his might, but his mind was in disarray because he couldn't see his daughter anywhere in the room.

What have you done to my daughter? where is she? He asked while choking the man's throat hard.

Lunalina was in the master bedroom when she heard loud and disturbing voices that caused her to panic. She quickly grabbed her phone, dialed the police, and retrieved a gun from her drawer. She cautiously followed the sound of the voices and discovered that they were coming from her daughter's bedroom. Upon entering, she was shocked to find Diego on his knees with a gun pointed to his head, and her daughter was nowhere to be found.

" Woman drop that gun before we hurt both you and your unborn baby." The gang leader finally spoke up.

  Please you can get whatever you want but don't hurt my family. She replied as she dropped the gun. Then she added, where is our daughter?

   "Well we don't know and we don't care." Responded the right-hand man.

    Diego was so enraged that he got up and punched him hard in the stomach.

 "Bang..!" Diego was shot in the heart and
Lunalina was shot in the womb."

    Luna, a six-year-old child, found herself in a helpless situation and was forced to hide inside the safe wall of her room. Fortunately, the police arrived in time and the criminals fled. Once it was safe, Luna came out of hiding. Unfortunately, her parents had been injured during the incident and were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

   
18 years later.
13th June 2023

"Lunalina wished her daughter well, saying, 'Happy birthday to you, my darling.'"

"Mother, please, you know I don't enjoy birthdays. To me, they don't seem like a special occasion."

"My dear, I understand that this day is incredibly painful for you, but I was hoping that you had been able to find some healing by now. Luna, it has been 18 years since your father and brother passed away. Please try to let go of the past and move forward. Choose love over hate."

It is well known that I have devoted my life to catching criminals and I will not rest until the world is a safer place.
