Order 66. A day that caused the universe to change forever. The tide of an ongoing war suddenly changed in what felt like a matter of moments. The effect rippling throughout the galaxy and the hope that had begun to appear was silenced in one swift movement.

You were living on Felucia when it happened.

A jungle planet on the outer rim with a Jedi temple hidden within the viney trees. Being on the outer rim helped delay some of the empires approach but you were all living on borrowed time. You had been a Jedi apprentice well connected and trained in the force but decided not to finish your training as a Jedi knight and instead get married. David was not force sensitive but a beloved and spiritual man who cared for you, and gave you all you could want. He was mainly involved with the trade guild on Felucia, called the Onyx Monolith but you knew him more personally from his assistance with your temple. Your romance had been going on for years and after you ended your training you two could openly date and get engaged.

As part of leaving you kept your lightsaber, but could not use it so it was tucked away in a special box made by your teacher. David's family did not like you very much, but they also knew little about you since they aimed for neutrality and David did not share about your Jedi affiliation. While there were still challenges for you to face, life seemed perfect. Engaged to the man of your dreams, living in a beautiful temple or with David's wealthy family, only to wake up to the sound of ship engines approaching your hidden location.

History would remember this as the "cleansing of Felucia" but you would remember this as the day all you had loved was turned to ashes.

The evacuation ships were hidden throughout the forest and you, David and the others present were doing their best to usher the padawans and apprentices to safety through the trees and hidden paths. The forest was dense and many believed it would protect them, but the troopers came with flame throwers and torches. As they flew down over the forest, fire licked across the trees. Even in a green season of growth the fire easily took hold of the naturally occurring forest debris. The temple burned, the forest was set ablaze, and those that were running were mowed down by the flames. All around was the smell of burning, ash started to blot out the sun and the heat grew unbearable. You had been separated from your fiance ushering the padawans towards the hidden ships, but refused to leave without him. You were looking in as many places as you could finding only burned or completely incinerated tree limbs and possibly bodies. You got closer to David's ship that he lived out of, but still couldn't find him. The ash was clouding your senses and stung your eyes. You could hear the faint stomping of boots. --the troopers were closing in.

Finally, in the distance, among scorched shrubbery and still burning trees you saw him

A familiar body, far beyond its usual state.

His legs were badly burned, he was clearly in great pain and dying quickly. You gently picked him up as the flames raged in the background behind you. The screaming could still be heard over the trees, but your ears no longer heard it. The entire world was silent as you cradled David. His life ebbing away he looked to your teary, ash covered face and said "Please Y/N, you must escape". You had never been strong in force healing, and you knew there was nothing you could do. It didn't stop you from crying into his chest as he died, being held by you one last time.

Sadly, there was no time to mourn in this chaos, the screams and sounds of Clone weaponry grew closer. You rally yourself, gently closing his eyelids, and run from the flames like a fleeing deer. Tears still streaming down your face, your breathing heavy, you offered a prayer for your dead fiance and never looked back. The emotion of this memory is deeply impressed in excruciating detail in your memory. But beyond this point you remember little as you somehow escape on David's ship that he had prepared for the both of you. Only flashes of events remain, finding the ship, outrunning the flames and troopers chasing you. Taking off, dodging ships that came and shot at you, and finally blasting off into the distance along with others who were fortunate enough to survive.
