P.O.V - Kate

January 4, 2015

"It's getting late, we aren't going to be there with enough time to catch this thing Dean."

"Hey, it's alright. We'll get the son of a bitch; right Sammy?"

"Why do you always have to call me Sammy?"

"'Cause you're my baby brother." Dean says smirking.

"You guys are cute and all, but seriously, its half past 12. This demon isn't gonna hang around for us." I said anxiously.

"Two more miles Kate." Dean told us as he pushed down the gas pedal even more.

"Kate, I'll handle the shotgun and the rock salt this time." Sam says, turning back to me.

"Seriously Sam? I'm not a little girl anymore. You've seen me, I can fight supernatural creatures just as well as you two can."

"Believe me, we know you can." Dean said quietly.

"I don't want you getting hurt. Remember what happened last month in Iowa?"

"I'm alive and breathing, Sam. More the reason to keep going."

"More the reason to lay low, sweetheart." Dean looked through the rearview mirror at me, and winked.
I nudged him playfully, and he swerved the wheel of the Impala, pretending like I punched him hard.

"Woah! I could've crashed!" Said Dean, laughing.

"Shut up." Sam and I laughed along.

We sat in silence until we arrived at our destination.

"Ah, the outskirts of Illinois ... Lovely" Recited Dean, raising an eyebrow, smiling, and clearly speaking sarcastically - as usual.

"Ready?" Sam turned to Dean and I.

"Lets go." I said confidently.

Dean kicked open the door, sending it flying off the hinges. We heard an eery screeching noise, and I bolted upstairs.

"Wait!" Shouted Dean.
I heard Sam shush him.

I turned the corner, and followed the noise.

"Find the Colt." "Bring us the Colt."
These whispers were echoing around my head.

"Sam, Dean!" I shouted, the whispers disorienting me. I plugged my ears and shut my eyes tight, but the whispers wouldn't go away. I screamed.

A shadowy figure appeared in front of me.

"Guys?" I asked.
The figure approached. I held up the shotgun.

"Hey, back up. Whatever the hell you are, I'll shoot you."

The figure bolted in my direction. I pulled the trigger twice.

It was Dean. I shot Dean.

"What the hell? DEAN? Son of a bitch."

"No, no, what did you do?" said Sam, completely and utterly shocked.

Without hesitation, Sam grabbed the shotgun, and shot at me.

One hit, and I was on the ground, practically lifeless.

The next thing I saw, was Sam on the ground next to me, after pulling the shotgun trigger on himself.

"The Colt." "It is you who will bring us the Colt." "Or else, the Winchesters are gone."
Repeated the whispers.

"Whats happening?" I said to myself, tears rolling down my cheeks. My body felt numb, and almost non-existent, and I couldn't move my arms or legs.
"Help."
I whispered. I could barely get the word out.
This hunt, was the first time I had felt sheer horror, and I had no idea what to do.

"Whats happening? Well, Kate, whats happening is not the question, but what's about to happen; is the biggest, most fearful poltergeist yet."
A shadowy figure smiled down at me.
Although this time I recognized it.

John. John Winchester.

"A polter-"
Before I could finish the sentence, I woke up.

Breathing heavily, I shot out of my bed, and ran to John's journal, where he had all the knowledge on the supernatural.

"Kate, woah, are you okay? I think you need to calm down." Dean ran out of bed, followed by Sam.

"Your dad, he, he um-" I was trying to catch my breath after that all-too-real dream.

"Wait, our dad?" Sam asked.

"In my dream, he mentioned... a Poltergeist. The worst ever? And these whispers, they kept telling me to bring 'the Colt'?"
"I, I don't even know what the means."
I sat back down, still shaken.

Dean looked down at the floor, and whispered the word Colt a few times over.

Sam looked worried. "Dean, what is it?"

"No way, no frickin' way." Dean looked up, shocked.

Worried out of my mind, I grabbed Dean's arm; "What?"

"It's you." "It's been you all along." Whispered Dean.

"What the hell Dean, spit it out!"

Sam, realizing what was going on, widened his eyes, and said "I'm calling dad."

"Guys, please tell me wha-" I felt light-headed, I went to lay down, when I suddenly collapsed.

Dean looked at Sam, with a petrified look.

"It's happening." The two brothers said in sync.
