Cristiano sat outside, listening to the birds and the passing cars. That day was not a good one. He felt that everything was down, that every little thing he did was making his day worst.

He was sitting outside, holding a cup of coffee, the day was barely beginning, and he was already feeling down. His girlfriend was inside with his kids. It was still morning, so all of them were still sleeping. He had woken early and was not able to fall asleep again. So he went outside, breathing the fresh air.

He felt a pair of hands on his shoulders; he didn't even need to look back to know who it was. He knew by the way the hands moved on his back, the smooth and calm way they carried on his back, that knew it was his girlfriend.

She sat next to him and laid down her head on his shoulder. They were both now looking at nothing, well they were looking at their backward, one that was full of toys from the kids, a small goal so that Cristiano could play with Junior and maybe Mateo when he was older, enough to walk on his own.

Do- Care to tell me what is happening? - she whispered asked. - I am a great player. I have a great family. I have you. But I feel that I am still missing something. - Why do you say that? - I don't know. It's that little feeling that I have. - Cris, you are going to have some ups and some downs. Most people give up on them quickly, but killing the human spirit is challenging. Fear kills dreams; fear kills hope; fear can hold you back from doing something you know you can do. - she said, holding his hand. She smiled at him and got up when she heard a small cry from the baby monitor - So don't let fear bring down the fantastic man you are.

She got up and kissed his forehead before walking back inside the house. He knew she was right; living in fear was not a great way of living. He shouldn't let fear destroy him. He is standing up for his dreams.
