Author's POV,

Even if the child was hidden away, dangers drew near, and they were mad.

The fox stopped in front of the door that led to the daycare attendant's room. They jiggled the doorknob only to find it locked. The fox kicked the door with all the force it could muster, breaking the door off its hinges, and crashing into the room. The fox lightly stepped around the empty room and crawled through the tube in the wall. To find a blood-boiling sight.

That thing holding their precious treasure, that murder machine holding their child. The moon robot stared at the fox, holding the child who was fearing for theirs and the moon's safety.

"Give them to me."

Was all the robot could speak out before they lunged after the moon. The moon easily dodged the fox's jump and ran out of the room with the child still in its arms. Intending on keeping a distance between the two. Heavy and rapid-paced footsteps were heard behind them. The fox lunged again at the moon, this time knocking the robot over, dropping the child in the process. The fox had the moon cornered, and was ready to tear the robot apart.

A small and shaky voice called out to the fox, the fox looked over to the sound to see the child looking horrified, tears streaming down their face.

"Don't...hurt them..ₚₗₑₐₛₑ..."

Their voice cracked, trying to stop the fox from hurting the moon. The fox walked over to the child, and hugged them.

"My treasure, you don't understand, that thing would have killed you!"

"But.. he helped me.."

"That's enough. I'm helping you, trying to keep you safe."

The fox was cut off by the moon robot tackling them to the ground and looked at the child.

"Run, lamb. I'll keep them here."

The kid looked at the two for a minute before their legs started moving, running away from the two, tears streaming down their face. They ran as far as they could, trying to get some distance before finding themself in a theatre. A staff bot performing on the stage, wearing a top hat and a tuxedo. They looked around and saw the daycare through open doors, they ran towards it, they looked behind them to see if the fox had followed them.

The child ran into something and fell to the ground. Sounding metal, they looked up and saw a yellow eye, they screamed before the fox bent down and grabbed them, placing a hand over their mouth to prevent anymore sound from coming out. They desperately tried to get out of the fox's grip, only for their grip to tighten. They winced and stopped moving.

"You are in so much trouble treasure.."

The fox started to drag the child away from the theater. While the child cried silently in the fox's hold, walking through one of the many hallways, before being lead into kid's cove. The fox carried them to a room before dropping them, while the child tried to run away from them, but only having so much room. The fox cornered them and stared at them with an unreadable expression.

"You ran off. You ran away from me?"

The child only stared at the robot, not knowing what they were going to do to them. They were too afraid to answer.

"You followed that murder machine instead of waiting for me. Why, treasure?"

The child only cried, not knowing the anger and betrayal the robot felt. The robot let out a mechanical sigh, while they waited.

"are... yₒᵤ gₒᵢₙg ₜₒ ₕᵤᵣₜ ₘₑ..?"

"No, I would never hurt you treasure. However, if you don't talk I will have to discipline you."

The robot answered quickly, the child only stared in silence, still afraid to say anything, the robot had enough of the child's behavior and looked away from them looking at the door before getting an idea.

They walked away without another word to the child and walked towards the door, putting a code on the keypad once outside before the doors closed loudly.

The child was now left alone, and the child didn't know what to do so they did what seems to be the only thing they can do, wait.
