I examined myself in the full-length mirror which hung beside my bed. Hyesu and I had gone to a dress rental shop and found the perfect one. The black evening gown was cut generously to reveal my right leg up to my thighs. The spaghetti straps which were placed delicately on my shoulders and the plunging neckline made me look even more enticing. The sequins on the dress dazzled brightly like stars in the moonless sky. I couldn't help but continue gaping in awe.
Soon enough I heard the door knob rattle and in walked Hyesu. As soon as her eyes fell on me she gasped in amazement. "Yunhee..... You look drop-dead gorgeous!!" She squealed in excitement. "I swear everyone's eyes will pop out of their sockets as soon as you enter."
"And no one will be able to tell that you rented it for 70,000 won only!" she continued squealing and hopping around in excitement while I just stood in silence, my nerves starting to get the better of me.
"Hey don't worry, you got this! The Taehyung guy would have to be blind and impossibly dumb to not like the stunning beauty that you are!" She tried to raise my confidence however I continued to feel queasy. Food. Remember you are doing this for food.
"So anyways when is the invitation going to arrive" I tried to change the subject.
"Ahh the dude who is providing it is really lazy so I think it will take some time." I couldn't help but feel suspicious about who is the one she is dealing with, Is she involved with some shady people from the dark web or something?
Just then the doorbell rang. "Finally!" Hyesu sighed in relief.
She opened the door and I could see that the person was dressed in an all-black hoodie and jeans combo with a cap of the same shade. "Took you long enough" said Hyesu as I came closer to see the guy's face. My eyes widened as I recognized the person standing in front of Hyesu and me.
It was Min Yoongi.
