The forest was dark, the only things lighting up being the moonlight and your phone's flashlight. It didn't bother you too much, you knew where you were going, having traveled the path numerous times. You came across the clearing you had been looking for. You turned off your phone's flashlight. The clearing was beautifully illuminated by the moon and you could clearly see. Sitting in the middle of the clearing, with his back facing you, was the boy you were looking for, Edward Mason. He turned to face you as you stepped closer to him. "You're here." He smiled excitedly. You paused and took a moment to take him in. His green eyes seemed to glow in the night. His bright red hair was clearly illuminated and contrasting against the moon's cool beam. His pale skin had a subtle and almost ethereal glow.

"It's good to see you." You smiled back, taking a seat next to him.

"I missed you." Eddie admitted as he laid on his back and looked up at the stars. You copied his actions.

"I missed you too. How was work?"

"It was good. I got to make some nice graves. Hopefully the people I made them for are happy with them."

"I'm sure they are. You put so much love and care into them. I'm sure they appreciate that." He turned his head to smile at you.

"You think so?" You looked back at him, the stars seemed to twinkle in his eyes.

"I know so."

"That makes me happy too then." He went back to staring at the stars. The two of you laid in comfortable silence for a few moments before Eddie seemed to remember something. "Oh! I got you something." He sat up. You sat up as well.

"What is it?" He took something out of the front pocket of his overalls and looked at you. He seemed to grow embarrassed because he quickly looked away with a slight blush.

"Here." He held out his hand. You picked up the object and held it up in the moonlight to get a better look at it. It was a resin necklace with a dried red poppy flower in it. "Do you like it?" Eddie quietly asked, refusing to look at you.

"Of course I do! It's lovely. Thank you." You smiled and pulled him into a hug. He hugged you back and sighed in relief. "Help me put it on?" You asked after the two of you pulled away.

"Sure." He took the necklace from you and moved behind you. You had to stifle your laughs when you heard him struggle a bit with the clasp before he got it on you.

"Thank you." You admired the necklace as Eddie resumed his place next to you.

"It looks nice on you." Eddie smiled fondly at you. You could feel your face get warm at the compliment. Luckily a cool breeze blew past the two of you, cooling your face a bit. "It's getting colder out." Eddie commented, looking up at the leaves rustling on the trees that were disturbed by the wind. "If you get cold, you can borrow my scarf." He offered.

"I think I could use it." You told him, whether that was true or not didn't really matter. You just wanted an excuse to wear his scarf. He took it off and handed it to you. You wrapped it around yourself and slightly nuzzled into it.

"You look really cute." Eddie giggled as he laid back down.

"Thank you." You laid down as well, this time cuddling close to him. He wrapped an arm around your waist as you rested your head on his chest. The two of you looked up at the stars once more, but you could feel your eyelids growing heavy. You couldn't stifle your yawn and Eddie noticed.

"Should we head back?" He asked you.

"No. I want to stay like this." You mumbled back.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, I'll stay here with you for as long as you want." He began to gently stroke your hair, lulling you further into sleep. You managed to hear one last sentence before you fell asleep. "I love you. Have sweet dreams, sweetheart."
