Chapter Two

 THREE YEARS AGO

"Ehhh!?"

Timber smiled as he looked at me. "I know it's shocking, but I'm dead set on asking Twilight to be my girlfriend, so..." He began, leaning beside me, "Will you help me?"

"No!" I exclaimed as I pushed his face away from mine.

"Why?" he whimpered like a child.

"Because-" I came to a halt, looking away. I can't explain why. Closing my eyes, "B-Because you should be doing this kind of stuff by yourself!" I retorted.

"Come on, Sunset." He began, "I really suck at courting people...I really like Twilight and I don't want to ruined anything. So here am I removing my pride and asking for help." He said.

I did not respond. I looked away from his desperate ugly face.

"Please help me...?"

"UGH!!! Fine, you're so annoying!" I groaned, rubbing my temples.

I'm sure I'll later regret what I said. For Celestia's sake, he's my rival! I should be kicking his a$$ and competing against him. Why did I say yes in the first place!?

"YES!!!" he exclaimed, hugging me tightly.

"Stop hugging me!" I yelled in annoyance, pushing him away from me once more.

"Thank you!" he exclaimed, jumping up and down. "Because you agreed to help me, I will buy your lunch for the entire month starting today; see you at lunch!" he said as he finally disappeared completely down the corridors. I let out a loud groan as I slowly leaned against the nearest locker in front of me.

"Ughh...what did I get myself into?" I wondered aloud as I ran my fingers through my hair.

After a few minutes, I decided to meet the others at the cafeteria. I dragged my feet through the halls until I arrived at the cafeteria entrance door. I turned the knob, and as soon as I stepped inside, the hungry students' voices echoed around the room.

Once I got inside, I found the others, except Twilight, sitting in the cafeteria's left corner. I walk towards them, irritated. When everyone noticed me sitting beside Rarity and flopping my face on the table, they all stopped talking.

"Darling, what's the matter?" Rarity asked, turning away from Applejack and facing me.

"I don't wanna talk about it..."

"Let me guess, it's about egghead," Rainbow Dash laughed as she fist bumped Pinkie Pie.

Applejack smirked and leaned forward. "Spill the beans, sugar cube," she instructed.

"Well..."

"Hey, Sunset."

"Ahh!" I yelled, quickly backing away when I heard Twilight whisper behind my ear. Twilight stood up and laughed at my reaction.

"I'm sorry." Twilight apologized, laughing in between her words. The others began to laugh as well. "Anyway, I brought someone with me," she stated as she took a step to the side, revealing a very tall girl.

Her black hair was dyed in light pink, and her body was fit and skinny. She was dressed in a lilac blouse and a white skater skirt.

"Everyone, meet my cousin, Fluttershy," Twilight said. Fluttershy timidly waved her hands and smiled at us. "She's a little bit shy, but she's very nice."

Rainbow smiled, "Is she the pretty girl you gave a tour to a while ago?" she questioned.

Twilight and Fluttershy took the empty seat beside me. "Yes, I know what you're thinking, so don't even think about it," Twilight said, smirking. Twilight clearly knows Rainbow was interested on Fluttershy since morning.

"You're such a mom," Rainbow shot back. Meanwhile, Applejack patted Rainbow on the back, clearly teasing and laughing at Rainbow for having no chance on Twilight's cousin.

"Fluttershy, darling. I just realized that you have such a beautiful eyes." Rarity said, complementing Fluttershy who blushed.

"Thanks.." She said, smiling.

While Rarity and Applejack continued to tease Rainbow Dash and while Pinkie Pie was chatting with Fluttershy, I heard Twilight speak.
