Chapter two: she isn't who you think

Jack's POV
I bounced the Basketball off the gym floor running around Sam and Skate. I jumped in the air Dunking the Ball

"YEAAAAAAHHHH" I yelled. My team ran to me and hugged me "Jack, Jack! Jack!" The crowd Yelled I jumped up and down

"and that's game Point!" the coach yelled I did a little dance and spun around.

"I am King!" I said, I wiped the sweat from my forehead. I waited till I was around the corner to Let out a loud groan I punched the wall and slid down the wall tearing up. I gripped at my hair. I wiped my eyes quickly and went to the Locker room. I took off my shirt along with my basketball shorts, I took off my shoes and pulled on my pants, and my black T-Shirt

I pulled my shoes back on leaving the locker rooms

"Great Game Jack!" A few girls waved at me, I nodded in their direction and sighed

"Jack!" Veronica waved, I smiled and walked to her, I crossed my arms and leaned on the cold brick wall beside me

"Hey" I said "I thought you said you didn't like Basketball" she Narrowed her eyes before pushing me playfully, I laughed a little and smiled "I don't But I have to win for our Team" I shrugged. I turned my head and my team was walking towards me. "Hey Jack..and Veronica?" Sam fake Gagged, I glared at him and Pushed off the wall "leave her alone man"

"Whoa, what are you dating her now? Before you were telling me how horrible it felt to even be in her presence. I shoved him and tackled him.

What The hell has gotten into me?

"fuck you man! She's not who you think she is!" I drew back my fist and punched him in the face over and Over. Nash and Carter yanked me off only for sam to Tackle me, he punched me Repeatedly, I shoved him off, I stood back up stumbling slightly, Both sam and I were about to pass out. I felt a cool liquid running down my face "Jack?" Veronica grabbed my face and made me look at her.

I winced and shook my head, everything was so Blurry and everything kept Echoing

I blacked out

I woke up and Looked around, I gathered the realization that I was in Veronicas room.

"Shit" I sat up, Veronica came out of the bathroom and looked at me "you're Up"

"Yeah, How bad is my face?"

"Well You were ugly to begin with" she joked

I cracked a smile and stood up walking to her mirror. I had a black eye and a bruise on my cheek with a little cut

"It's not that bad" I shrugged

"Yeah, It is" she handed me a glass of water, I took it and took a sip.

"Jack?" She sat on her bed, I sat beside her setting my drink down

"Thanks for standing up for me, it means a lot."

"You're welcome, People need to stop Judging you, they don't even Know you"

"But you Judged me before you knew the real me"

I sighed and nodded

"I know, and I'm sorry"

"We gotta get you studying because your dad is Just going to get someone else to Tutor you, and then you won't have an excuse to talk to me anymore"

"What's that supposed to mean?"
