~ Jisung's POV ~ 

It's almost been a whole year after I arrived at Ramona. I left home at the ripe age of 18, as most witches do at that age. I remember being in such a hurry to leave. I stumbled upon this cute village after a horrible night of crashing into a forest, thanks to the bad weather that night. When I woke up, I kept on searching for a town and I fell in love with the view of my current beautiful city; Ramona! It's a seaside village with beautiful ocean views. I knew I had to pick this place, it was like destiny to end up here! And of course... I was drawn in by a certain human too.

I first saw him when I was riding my broomstick above Ramona. I caught a glimpse of him, and I immediately tried being friends. I introduced myself, but he just ignored me and kept walking away. That's when it was settled; I would get to know this boy and the town more!

And I surely have done that!

... Well, 50/50 ain't so bad. Though I've gotten somewhat close to him... We're kind of friends with benefits. Outside of that, he still ignores me. But! That'll change soon enough! I won't be afraid to say I do like the chase. Or at least I convince myself that I do... for him. I'd do anything for him.

I woke up in bed to see that the boy that was laying next to me last night was gone, as usual. Friends with benefits don't tend to stick around. I sighed, stretching, taking a look around my room before getting up. The herbs I left drying looked beautiful in my room. The glass jar of roses almost empty, my lace curtains really gave a nice vibe to my room too. I sat up and got ready for my day.

I arrived at the 6 year academy, seeing Hyunjin at his locker. I waved at him, but he just ignored me as usual. I sighed as my friend Jeongin approached me. "I don't know what you see in him. He's just rude to you." "He'll come around eventually." "Where's Felix?" "I'm not sure, he didn't sleep with me last night. He must be out doing something important!"

We walked to class, and sat at our usual desks. I had my friends Seungmin, Felix and Jeongin for a class. Hyunjin was also in the class, but he sat at the opposite end of it.

I whispered to my friends before class started,

"So guys... Tomorrow is a whole year since my arrival to this town! I want to make it special and give Hyunjin a cake." "Why?" "Because he's the first person I met when I got here!" "You mean when he ignored you?" "W-Well.. yeah..."

Seungmin sighed. "You're hopeless. You do know like every person in school has a thing for him, right?" "Yeah but..."

But I have something with him that they don't. But of course I could never say that out loud.

"... But I can bake stuff for him?"

"He does seem to eat them," Jeongin said. I smiled. "Yeah! They're delicious! I'll win his heart over by winning his stomach over first~" "And what if there's someone else who's interested in you?"

I shook my head. "Doesn't matter. He-" I stopped. "... He-" I stopped again. "HE-" "He what?!" I banged my head against the table, causing everyone to stare at me. "AH! Forget it!" For some reason, I never could talk about my feelings.

It was finally last hour for school. I waited for him at the school gate, where he always goes through. I waved at him, "Hi Hyunjin! Can I walk you ho-" "No. You cannot." "B-But why?" "You're obsessed with me." "I'm not..." "It's okay. Everyone is. You already know where I live anyways, I've seen you hovering near my house." I blushed. "So... is that a yes?" "It's still a no."
