Reader's PoV...
Nyx, Yoh chatted with each other and Yoh started to trust her as Hao still held a grudge.
"Oh. Will you excuse me for a second? I need to breathe some fresh air."
"Sure."
The woman stood up and started walking towards the balcony.
Later..
A few minutes passed, and Yoh was getting quite worried of his newly found and aquatinted friend.
Yoh rushed outside.
He saw Nyx, sitting at the rail.
'Is she going to jump...?' Yoh's mind wandered off to that small thought of worry and fear.
"I won't" she spoke, breaking the tenacious and silenced atmosphere.
"Phew.." Yoh sighed in relief.
She swung her feat as she said.
"Hmmm, would you like to here the story of my past with Zeke?"
"Who?"
"Ugh..." Hao interpreted.
"You know I don't go by that name anymore, you've always been watching.." Hao grunted.
Nyx giggled, "I see! I remember the time you said I was the only one allowed to say your name like that."
"Such fun days."
"Just... Get on with the story Xyn." Hao mumbled under his breath.
"Hmm? I didn't quite catch what you replied about. Calling me by my old name? How cute."
"You didn't find that disrespectful?" Hao questioned.
"No." She answered with a sly grin.
"Besides, you narrate your part of the story."
She jumped, a black aura following her and Yoh tried to catch her by reaching his hand out for her until Yoh's vision turned black.
His fluttered open, and saw nothing else but white all around.
"Wait.. What's going on?! Hello?" His voice echoes through empty void.
Suddenly everything flashed black.
Then a bright screen appeared. Yoh covered his eyes with his arms, trying to make out what was going on. The light dimmed and it showcased what happened in the past.
"It would've been better to do it in the dance pose than let my brother be blinded by this, whiteness.." Hao's voice was heared by Yoh.
"Hao?! Where are you?! What the Fuck is going on?!"
"Relax Yoh." Nyx's voice came after the questioned shouting, coming from Yoh's lips.
He aimlessly looked around. Trying to find the source of their voices.
"Long ago, Hao and I were known as, Zeke and Xyn. When Hao was 17, His birthday was around, I offered him a trip for some milktea. While we had been walking home, we heard a gunshot fire from his house, and people screaming.. Hao and I were shocked and quickly ran inside the house as soon as possible."
"What happened then?" Yoh sat on the empty floor looking at the screen then at the dark ceiling above.
"We saw her, hanging at a stake.. she had a gun shot on her chest."
What was happening...
"Mom!"
"Z-Zeke... Xyn..." We're her final words before she was burned by the fire lit.
"Hey mom don't leave! I need you!!" Hao begged and screamed, tears streaming out of his widened eyes, he fell on his knees, and on the ground.
"Auntie.. You're like the mom I never had. I wish... I could do something to stop it." A tear fell from her eye as she stared at the figure in fire, hanging. Her face remained with no emotion.
"Hey, Xyn maybe we can do something to stop the fire fro-" he stood.
"There's nothing we can do." She said.
....
Hao despaired and mourned for the loss of his mother. Every day he swore he would avenge his mother, While Xyn, stared at the distance. As Hao studied frantically paced around looking for books to reverse everything, time itself.
During the funeral...
Hao was dreaded. He had eyebags, he did not get enough sleep. Xyn made him sleep on her shoulder as the ceremony began.
"Today we have gathered, to honor the passing of Asanoha, she was a very wise woman, yet she burned at the stake for her talking to herself, she was believed to be a fox in disguise."
