Chapter 13 – Public Safety Devil Hunters
It was a nice day, and there was no mission, so Gojo invited his students to a newly opened café for a vacation.
But something didn't seem right. Half way through their visit, he suddenly had a sense of déjà vu. He looked back at the waiter who was plating some cakes on their table, and asked, "have I met you before?"
"I don't think so."
"Huh." He was utterly confused. He didn't sense anything really wrong and they were having a great time, so giving it the benefit of the doubt, he put it to the back of his mind and carried on like normal.
At the same time, Sukuna who was living inside Itadori also had the same feeling. He tried really hard to think about something but every time it just came out blank.
He was sure there was something and trusts his instincts, but the truth was right before him. Nothing. Even when Gojo asked about it, he still didn't feel like anything's wrong, but at the same time he felt like something was amiss.
It was strange.
What they didn't know, however, was that both of their instincts were right.
It was Rimuru and Ciel who revived them and modified their memory.
When the four died, Ciel resurrected Gojo, Sukuna was resurrected by Rimuru, Nobara and Megumi were naturally resurrected by the fighting chamber. It had the convenient ability to revive anyone who died in the place.
After their memories were deleted, and time rewinded, once again they came to the café and asked for a meal.
But this time was different, because Rimuru secretly changed not only Sukuna's, but all the people relevant in this context. Basically, everyone that had something to do with this were brainwashed and altered.
Well, apart from one person.
All in all, a happy ending.
...
They were in bed, kissing. After their lovely session of passion-making but not crossing the last step, Rimuru started talking.
"Hey Ciel."
"Yeah."
"I noticed something with my soul."
"Go on then."
"Its kinda hard to explain you know? Wait. Actually you do know. Its to do with the weird things in my soul. Do you know anything more about this."
"Of course darling. 'Tis only obvious for one such as I." Suddenly, Rimuru saw the sun behind Ciel's head, which was lying on a pillow. Her eyes sparkled with brilliance. Despite this however, Rimuru just cringed and gave a look of disbelief.
"Just get on with it."
The sun then changed to clouds of rain which poured oceans of water onto Ciel, completely drenching her and the bed. Rimuru looked at her and smiled, which completely scared Ciel and cleaned everything up. With a cough, she started.
"Uh humm. So, about those things. They are called devils, which are the manifestation of fear. If at least one person fears an object or concept, it will manifest into a devil. However, some are too powerful to manifest since they don't have an appropriate body.
So when you appeared, all the powerful ones rushed into you, but didn't expect that your soul was so powerful. In a way, it benefits them more since all of them can survive in their ideal conditions.
They even have an entire system going there, which is admirable. There's also this thing called a fiend which is basically a devil that has human intelligence and can communicate in the human way.
