jiah yang buried the flowers in their allocated place in the greenhouse. wiping the beads of sweat from her glistening forehead, she turned to return the gardening tools back into the shed.

after cleaning up the dirty remains of earthy soil, she made her way upstairs in the yang mansion. knocking quietly on the blue door, she made her way inside the boyish room.

"hello my baby," she cooed to the four year old. "ready to see daddy? i know he's excited to see you. who's a good boy?" she awed as she picked up her son, jaemin jungwon yang from the blue rimmed crib.

gathering the necessary equipment for a safe ride, she placed her baby in the back seat as she strapped him while simultaneously kissing both his red cheeks. the four year old squirmed impatiently.

"just a few more minutes, okay baby?" jiah kept her eyes on the road as she replied, looking for a parking space. after securing one, she quickly walked to the side of the car to gather her baby boy.

"who's excited to see daddy?"
jaemin giggled in reply, sporting a toothy grin as he played with his mother's hair.
"i know i am!" she squealed to her son as she playfully kissed him all over his face.

they reached the gate as she walked towards the destination.

as if the sky had felt all that she felt,
a single raindrop slithered against the headstone.

jiah laid her child on the flowerbed next to the grave as she bent down to where her husband lay.

her tears merged with the sky's as she read the words that have not left her since.

BELOVED HUSBAND AND FATHER
YANG JUNGWON

IN ONE OF THE STARS I SHALL BE LIVING,
FOREVER LOVED.

jiah sobbed uncontrollably.
she missed him everyday.
oh how she wished,

he had never gone that day.
