I wake up early this morning, nervous about getting my dad from the hospital. I haven't seen him since I graduated high school 4 years ago. He sadly couldn't make it to my college graduation due to some animal attacks that happened earlier this month. I felt bad for him, during one of the tracking events, his dear friend Harry Clearwater died of a sudden heart attack. I couldn't get Renee to give me the details for the funeral so sadly I missed it. I know I'm 20, but Renee had a way with words that trapped me in that house like a prison. At times I feel like she purposely kept running out of money just so I would have to use my money from my free lance jobs to pay for the mortgage on the house. If you add that money up with the cost of computer repairs and internet bills, I barely had any spending money on anything else. Thankfully for me, I was smart enough to not tell her exactly how much money I made, and put half of it way in savings. Even after Charlie heals and doesn't need me around anymore, I have enough saved up to buy me my own house, and I think I'm going to stick around Washington. I've been looking at properties in Seattle that I can easily afford.

I step into the shower that I've had warming up to get me ready for today. I really am nervous about seeing Charlie again after so long, but I know I'm going to be okay. It is Charlie after all, how bad can he be?

*time skip*

Charlie is not what I expected. He's a lot grumpier than I remember him being. As soon as I made it to the hospital, I could hear him yelling at a nurse about needing ice chips, and how he's the police chief so he should have the best care. I'm not liking this entitled personality he's having right now, but surely he's just too stressed from the accident. I make my way to his room where I see his doctor. He was a very pale man, his blonde hair almost seemed to blend in with his skin. The most striking feature was his golden eyes. They remind me of an old story my friend Jakob Black told me down on the reservation about the cold ones when I was younger visiting Charlie. I know the secrets of the tribe, I did stay in touch with Jakob from time to time. I know he is a wolf shifter, this means that this has to be,

"Oh hello. I'm Dr. Carlisle Cullen. You must be Charlie's daughter Isabella. He has told me so much about you, it's great to finally meet you." Knew it. He had his hand stretched out waiting for me to shake it and when I did the cold temperature just confirmed exactly what I knew.

"Nice to meet you Dr. Cullen. Thank you for taking care of my father for me while I was making my way up here." Might as we'll be polite, wouldn't want to make the big bad vampire angry with me.

"The pleasures all mine. Charlie here has been a delight. I'm sure my sister Esme's cooking has kept him here," he said with a chuckle.

"She does make a good steak," Charlie grumbled out. Now that I can see Charlie fully, I can say that I'm not impressed. He has definitely let himself go since Harry passed. His beard is untamed and he's gained a couple pounds. I'll have to start putting him on a diet.

"Well be sure to thank her for me, but I should really be getting Charlie home so he can rest in his own bed for the time being. The faster I get him up and moving, hopefully he can get out of the wheelchair." I mainly just wanted to go so I can get away from the doctor. He's giving me the creeps, like he knows something that I don't. I also wanted to get to the reservation so I can see Jakob and ask about what is going on with Charlie.

After getting Charlie home and I'm bed, I got out of that house as fast as o could. I don't know what's going on with him, but that's not the father I remember. He said nothing to me, and just grumbled the whole way home until he got to his bed. He's making no sense and I know Jakob can clear it up for me. The drive was peaceful and before I knew it, I was knocking on his door. After a couple minutes of knowing opening it, I went around back where I thought I heard some noise. I get to the edge of the woods when all of a sudden this giant silver wolf pops out followed by a brown wolf. I know the brown wolf is Jakob, so I'm confused as to what is going on. What I didn't realize while I was turning to watch Jakob chase the other wolf, a black wolf comes out of nowhere. I didn't see them and they didn't see me. I was tackled to the ground, and I could feel claws digging into my shoulder blade. The pain was unlike any I ever felt, I could feel this burning all over my body and the last thing I saw before I blacked out was the shocked face of Jakob Black.
