Bestfriend's brother

Backstory
My parents have been divorced for almost 4 years.
It's been rough but I wouldn't have made it without my best friend Emma.
Emma knew how I felt because her parents are split up too.
The only difference was that she stayed with her dad, and she never put in the effort to see her mom.

Current

It was Friday, 2:30 last class, I was sitting in English, and I told Emma what she was doing over the weekend.

She told me that her and her mom made up and they were going to have supper together on Saturday, and she wanted me to come so it wasn't as awkward.
I told her it wasn't a good idea but she insisted.
Just then h/n caught my attention,

H "hey get off your phone before i beat you"

Hearing that from the guy you like isn't very threatening, and kinda funny.

Y "oh whatever, I'm not scared of you "
H " Why aren't you not scared of me ?"
Y "um I don't know, you just aren't scary"
After school I did some homework, had dinner, showered, and went to bed.

Next day

I woke up got ready and went to school as any other day.
English was last class.
English was favourite because the work was easy, the teacher didn't care, and because h/n sat in front of me.
But he wasn't at school today, which is weird because he never wants to skip school.

It was about 3:40 and I started to get ready for supper.
I did my makeup, my hair, and Emma told me to dress fancy but casual so I put on a black satin mini dress.
I got to her house around 5:15.

I went in and we both went to her room and talked for a while until her mom called us to the table

Y "excuse me, I'm going to go to the washroom"
I left and went upstairs to find the bathroom, I didn't know where it was and just guessed.
I seen a open door and thought it was the bathroom, so I walked in to see that t was a bedroom and Emma's step brother was sleeping.
I took a step closer to see who he was, and oh my god it was h/n!
He looked so peaceful, his cheeks were red and it looked like he had a fever.
I got closer to look at him, oh my gosh he is beautiful .
In the moment I wasn't thinking, so I sat on his bed  and admired him.
I brushed his hair of his face and tucked him in before getting up and finding the bathroom.

About 10 minutes later I got to the table and sat down,
"What took you so long?"  Emma said giggling.

After supper  we all went into the living room, just then h/n walked down the stairs ,

H "sorry, I didn't know we had company"
His parent reassured him that it wasn't a problem since he was sick.

Emma and her parents started talking about some random show they had seen, and I was looking at h/n'e cute pyjama pants, then we both made eye contact,

H "are you y/n?"
Y "yeah, nice to meet you"
H "nice to meet you too, I really like your dress"
Y "oh thank you" 

I said as my face felt like it was burning.
After a minute he left and went into the kitchen.
Emma elbowed me,

E "why are you looking at him like that?" She said giggling.
Y "I was looking at him normally" even though I knew I wasn't.

An hour later me and Emma went upstairs to sleep since it was pretty late and I didn't want to drive home.
Emma gave me a blanket pillow and she lent me some clothes, then Emma's mom came in,

"Hey girls, I hope you don't mind but since Emma's brother is sick and I don't want you to get sick could you sleep in the guest room?"

I didn't want to cause any trouble, so I went into the spare room and got comfortable.
After I said goodnight to Emma I walked to the room and passed h/n's room, he was sitting on his bed on his phone laughing.

H "do you need something?" He said looking up at me.
Y "oh no sorry, I was just looking at your room"
I told him smiling .

I got into bed, got comfy and went on my phone for a bit.
Just then I heard the door open,

Y"what do you want?"
I heard the footsteps coming to my bed, so I sat up and turned the lamp on.
H "I want to talk to you"
Y "holy shit you scared the crap out of me!"

He apologized and sat on the bed,
H "do you have a minute?"
Y "sure"
H " I'm going to be straight up, y/n I really like you and I think you're really cute"

For a second it felt like everything was spinning and I felt my face get hot again,
Y "h/n, I really like you too!"
I watched as he smiled, and sat more comfortably on my bed.

H "I have a weird question"
Y "I like weird questions, go for it"
He took a breath and looked a bit stressed,

H "can I kiss you?"
