Sana's POV
All I can see is my family dancing and smiling as they all do the Bhangra together. I watch as Artha tries to copy the dance move of my bhaiya doing the Bhangra. But all she can do is throw her hand in the air and jump. My dad is carrying Yug in his arms and dancing. The smile and the happiness on the face of my family and the Narula family are quite visible."I am not good at drawing mehendi but as it's the ritual that mother-in-law is supposed to draw mehendi on the bride's hand, I have tried to draw a flower. Hope it doesn't spoil your design," I look at Kabir's mom and smile. Then she gives space to the mehndi artist so she can do the rest of the design on my hand.
" I am so happy beta that you accept to get married to Kabir," said my mom (Kabir's mom) and kiss my forehead. My eyes become moist I blink back my tears and said," I am thankful to you and your family including Kabir to accept not only me but also my daughter into your family."
"Hey, you don't need to thank us, we are lucky to have you and our little angel in our family, and trust me when I said I have never seen Kabir this much happy in so long," she said and look at Kabir who is now pull down on the dance floor by my brother.
He was smiling and he look so handsome in his green kurta and white trousers, his hair was properly set back, he carry Artha on his arm and start to dance with her. My checks suddenly heat up as a blush crept over them when I realized that I was gawking at him.
After the day of our roka, we talk and meet a few times, we are now very good friends, and I know very well that what he had for me is more than friendship. But I need time to accept it, I won't lie but it is quite handsome and maybe because of that every time I am near him I become a blushing mess.
But then there is always this part of my heart that tells me that what I am feeling for Kabir is wrong, and I and getting married just for the children.
I was still in my thoughts when I heard," what is your would-be husband's name" asked the mehendi artist. "huh?" I was kind of blank for a few seconds. "what name should I write on your hand" she ask again looking at my confused face.
Before I can answer her," Kabir" answered Kabir while seating beside me, and just like that I can aging feel the heat coming back to my cheeks. " Are you blushing, wow did I tell you that you are looking beautiful today, and this blush... Uff tumna to mar dala. (you just kill me with your beauty). He said dramatically.
" No you don't, you were quite busy with my cousins," I said remembering how he was surrounded by all my girl cousins as soon as he come to the venue.
"Not my fault that they thought me being handsome, well to be honest your distant cousin Lata is very irrigation, thank God your brother save me," he said with relief.
I laugh at him and then," I can't believe that today is our mehendi," I said looking into his eyes. " I know right" he added. Before I can say anything my stomach made a loud nose and I am sure my face is as red as tomatoes right now.
"Oh I guess someone is hunger," said Kabir in a teasing way. "Shut up! " he laughs at my reply and then asks a waiter to bring a plate full of different dishes.
"I won't be able to eat it, as my hand is covered with mehendi," I said when I see the waiter return back with a plate full of food, " Well I can see that and that is why I am too fed you," he said and bring spoon full of rice near my mouth.
I eat it, and he keeps on feeding me while we do some small talk among ourselves until we hear a click when we look at the front to find our family looking at us in adoration. "Bhagavan aap donon ko buree najar se bachaen" ( may God save you both from evil eyes) said, my mother. I look at Kabir only to find he was already looking at me and I smile maybe it's time to move on I thought.
