Jelly

The trial had been easy enough. The yeti was dead and the body burned so that no other creatures could spawn from it. We were now driving back to compound. It was a few hours before daybreak. "Stop, something's not right," Eagle Radio'd over to us. Nobody had been picking up at home. That was odd enough. Now, there was no light coming from the compound. We'd usually see it by now on this stretch of road. "Agreed, the compounds dark. Unless they've captured Hitler, this is unprecedented" Sylvia responded to him before pulling over to the side of the road. Eagle pulled up behind us, and we all got out of the vehicles. I handed Sylvia a pair of binoculars. It was for show. She could easily sense what was going on herself at this point. She looked at me and shook her head. "This is bad guys, the compounds dark and there's no sign of life anywhere" she told the group. "I can send in some spirits. Have a closer look" Eagle offered. Sylvia grabbed his arm. "They'd die, Eagle. There's undead everywhere" she warned him. "Even Illian would. I could count at least a dozen liches mixed amongst the undead. Perhaps even an Elder Lich" she said sounding defeated. We all slumped beside the cars not sure of what to do. We sat silently for a while before Sylvia finally spoke. "I'm a god and Illian is an Elder Demon. I think they were after me" she admitted, sounding sad. "Your a God?" Matthew asked. "I was adopted. I'm really the daughter of Loki and Hecate" she told him. "Did you know Jelly? Wait, no, of course you knew" Eagle said becoming upset. "Well, can't you go all wrathful and take out those lich son of bitches" Matthew asked her. "There's another god over there isn't there?" I asked her. She nodded slowly. "My brother, Fenrir, he's seated atop my own cabin" she told us. "If he's your brother, can't you talk to him?" Matthew asked. This time, I answered. "She's kind of in goddess protection. Half the gods want her dead, and the other half wants to use her to take over the world. So a bunch of goddesses came together to hide her from the gods. I guess they found out about her, though, if they organised this". Matthew looked at Eagle who looked at me with great concern. In turn I was watching the expression on my wifes face. "Eris!!!" Sylvia called out. A soft hand comforted Sylvia, placed comfortingly and lovingly on her shoulder. I looked to see the burnt face of a young woman. She looked to be only fourteen at the most but that was the godkind for you. Their ages were all well hidden by their youthful appearances. Both Matthew and Eagle started at the sight of her just appearing with us out of nowhere. "I tried to warn you of this calamity Daphne" Eris told Sylvia. "Sorry, who are you?" Matthew asked Eris. "Goddess of chaos" Eris quickly introduced herself. "This is Matthew and Eagle. They are great warriors of my people" Sylvia introduced them. "And this must be the infamous Jelly, blessed huntress of Artemis and lover of Hebe" Eris said looking at me. "What can you tell us of what happened here?" I asked the young looking goddess. "The gods of chaos and destruction have unjustly tipped the scales. Granting far too much power to monsters that should be easily slain. I believe they've done this to break you, cousin" Eris said, her face looking sad. I was worried, Sylvia was already an emotional woman. What wrath would she throw from the heavens if we came across her mother's dead and mutilated body. She looked at me, I shook my head "don't" I mouthed, knowing what she was already thinking. "They're baiting you" Eris said, stating the obvious. It didn't matter she had already teleported herself to her mother. We heard the nightmare inducing scream from where we were. "Get as far away as you can. I'll gather as many goddesses as I can to calm her down" Eris told us. "She's gone into what's known as a blood rage. It's a fugue state members of the godkind go into upon great distress. Even you will appear as her enemy Jelly" she told me to my utter surprise. Hebe suddenly appeared, without saying anything she grabbed my hand and teleported us both to safety.
We were in a forest, the trees a species I didn't recognise. "Where are we?" I asked as she sat on a boulder beside me. "A side reality where Antarctica never froze over. It's really a beautiful place, " she told me, before letting out a sigh. "I'm worried about her too" I told Hebe. "She's powerful but also incredibly fragile. I don't know how she'll recover from this" I told Hebe, admitting how worried I am. "She has Hecates will, it's not something that breaks so easy"Hebe stated as she looked into the distance. Perhaps not even conscious of doing so, she was holding my hand. "It's okay to worry about someone you love" I told her. She looked into my eyes "I love both of you" she told me before resting her head on my chest. I couldn't help but let out a sigh myself. The situation was indeed a precarious one. A new goddess with powers capable of killing the most powerful of gods themselves. Now gone wild from grief.
We lay in a grassy meadow beside one another for a while. At some point I had nodded off. I woke up to hushed yet urgent whispering. "She obliterated Fenrir, Loki was furious and after he attacked her directly well let's just say she ended up drinking from his very skull. The norse gods are furious. Thor has declared her a war criminal and a threat to the entire norse godkind. Hades wants her to join forces but the blood fugue hasn't broken yet. She's killed all that have approached her. Her power has created a chain reaction. Volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsumnamis are ravaging the very planet itself all at once. Hades wants to lock her in Tartarus itself until it blows over, but I fear even my husband will fall to her wrath" Persephone was whispering in hushed tones to Hebe. I felt an arm around me and looked at it. The arm was covered in blood. I felt my body tense up. "It's just me" I heard Sylvia say. "They're talking about you," I quietly told her. "I.. I..  I did some things. I don't remember much but I was surrounded by fire, blood, and bodies burnt to ashes" she told me, I could feel her body shaking against me with fear. "Let's go before they realise you're here" I told Sylvia. She zapped us away, teleporting us.
