Previously,

It had pained her to hear him say that he hadn't been a good boss, a good friend to her because he had been both of those. He had stopped himself from completing his third sentence, but she knew that he wanted to say that he hadn't been a good partner for her. She couldn't imagine anyone else as her partner though. It had hurt when she heard his voice breaking. With tears in his eyes, he had apologized to her for the second time that day, for increasing the problems in her life, for being the cause of suffering for her and her loved ones, and for forcing the marriage on her. She didn't even know how much she needed that apology, but as always, he knew. He was remorseful of his actions, but she couldn't let him think that she hated him. She did not, at least not anymore. Maybe she had once hated him for pushing her into their marriage. But being married to him had only brought her closer to her dreams, something she couldn't say would've happened if she had dropped everything at one call from her ex-in-laws. Before she could tell him the same, they were interrupted, their conversation dropped.

So, there she was, on the fourth night when her husband's thoughts had been the cause of her sleep troubles. She was happy, excited, and content. But she was mostly relieved because she had reunited with her Amma.

She was sitting on their bed, staring at an asleep Aryan on the couch, a smile gracing her face. He had brought her Amma to her. This man had reunited her with her mother.

She remembered the conversation they had shared earlier that morning. She was still upset, missing her mother, wondering how she'd talk to her, apologize to her. He had come in and advised her. She had asked him to not get involved between her and her mother and he had countered with a fact – that he was a part of the equation. He had expressed his wish to be involved in her family half as much as she had been involved with his, but she wasn't thinking of anything else. She had just needed her mother then, so he had suggested giving her a call.

The relief she had felt at hearing her mother's voice was incomparable. Her Amma was talking to her, letting her know that she had run because she was scared, letting her know that her mother had only intended to prevent her from making the biggest mistake of her life. She had known her mother was right about that, so she just nodded. Her Amma had told her that she would be very happy with Aryan, that he was a good person. She agreed with those as well. But he was right there, behind her, unknown to the fact that she wanted to sustain their relationship of a husband and a wife. So, she had instead let Amma know that he was tolerable and had asked her of a way to apologize to her.

Amma had wanted a hug and she didn't know how that would be possible but then she felt a hand on her shoulder. Her Amma.

She had turned around gingerly, not wanting to believe, and yet really hoping, that her mother was there.

She had hugged her mother, held her tightly, not willing to let her go. Her Amma had been her entire world and not talking to her for so long had taken a toll on her.

When they broke apart, her mother had stopped Aryan from leaving, telling him that he could not leave after reuniting her with her daughter.

She was surprised. Aryan had brought her mother to her. He had known well that she would need her Amma more than anyone at that moment and he had made sure her wish was granted without her even asking. He had also apologized to her mother for the misunderstandings that had occurred. This man had seen her missing her Amma and hadn't hesitated to bring her here. He had tried to lessen the misunderstandings between them.
