The next week or so goes by quickly, running the parlor is much easier than you would have thought, and the customers thankfully aren't your stereotypical blackmarket type customers. Cid's instructions are sorta encouraging and constructive but the biggest bonus was getting to keep any tips. When you asked Cid what she wanted you to do with them all she said was "They pay for your pretty face, keep em. Can't say I wasn't nice to my 'employees' ".

Not that there were a lot of credits to go around, but you saved up enough to buy another tunic and pay for your food. You rarely get to see the guys let alone talk with them for this week. You were not sent out on any missions, and they were assigned a decently long trip followed by more shorter journeys since your arrival. You saw them in passing, and gestures were exchanged but not much else. You had some concerns in the back of your mind about their possibly being clones but thus far the few moments you had gotten to observe them had been entertaining.

You caught on quickly that Wrecker and Omega would hang out in the parlor while the rest tended to the ship in between missions. You started saving them snacks under the bar, and easily won over Wrecker the first time you handed him some. Omega is very observant and even starts helping stock the 'secret' snack location with some of her 'credit cut' from their tasks.

Wrecker and Hunter also act as security on some of the busier nights that the parlor has, although really you think you could have handled it fine by yourself. It's not that there were a lot of people, simply more than usual and it could get a bit rowdy. Wrecker and Hunter were just present as a deterrent, but it helped you start to build up a rapport with them.

Hunter hadn't said much to you as of late, but he actually thought of you often. To him you were a puzzle, someone who seemed to come from a similar situation to themselves. He wondered what your story was, where you had come from. The sadness he felt radiating off you had to have quite the story behind it. The melancholy nature you presented reminded him of himself, trying to have the best outlook in the face of great uncertainty.

Meanwhile, Wrecker thought you were great. Not much went on 'upstairs' but he loved how you treated Omega, and seeing her happy and getting along with you told him everything he needed to know about your personality. You were kind, compassionate, and still playful even if your eyes looked sad.

Cid hadn't been kidding that your pretty face would be good for business. There wasn't a huge change in the amount of people present, but a noticeable change as you started to care for and maintain the parlor. You kept it clean, and made it more comfortable then it had been without you. Cid once commented, "The power of a woman's touch, great job Missy. Now don't forget to chase up those tabs before they leave". Thankfully Hunter helped with that aspect of your job, so you didn't have any unpaid tabs as of yet.

Your favorite time was always early evening. It's when all the guys would gather in the parlor, for one reason or another and you'd see them all together. Wrecker and Omega would usually play on the projection game table which got Cid upset because of the power bill. Meanwhile, Hunter and Echo would talk, probably about the mission and Tech would sit nearby reading. He was always reading on his holopad, if it wasn't a mission it was preparing or re-reading from the past one.

The mysteriousness was attractive, and it drew you in. The others, while still unknown to you, seemed pretty straight forward, but Tech had more going on in his mind then you think he let on. But what did you know, you had hardly talked to the guy, not like you were crushing on him already. Those goggles prevented you from seeing his eyes but you had a sneaking suspicion they were brown like the others. His face is perpetually neutral, and leaning over his holopad with a thoughtful expression. What wasn't to like? or at least be curious about. Plus what kind of person would you be to move on from your fiance so quickly?
