"Oh my sweet, sweet, Synthia. My pride and my joy,

It is too soon to leave my side. Can't you just stay with me more?

Without you the sunshine dims and the clouds roll in

The flowers wither and die, and I can't live my own life

You are my hope and my pain, You are the rose

Which hath been forever been planted in my brain"

Her raspy breath began to pick up again,

My heart rate quickened as I awaited her eyes to open once more.

"Oh God, I thank thee with all mine heart!

You have blessed this poor family once more! My wife who,

hath suffered dearly will be able to watch as our child grow old"

I cheered to the gracious lord of this world.

I watched as she awoke and her gaze landed on me

Joy overcame me as my wife, the love of my life

Smiled at me, with her smile so bright

Her sweet soft voice, her sweet majestic looks

All of which God graciously saved

Her loving laugh, her cheery smile

All of which I get to hold onto more

Now she lays there, meeting my gaze

Warmth began filling my cheeks

"My sweet, sweet, Synthia

My passion and my joy

Let you live on forever

Live with me and our family

All of us together for eternity"

Sweet memories of sweet, sweet, Synthia

Being made every day

Soon she recovers

And she skips through the field

Laughing and giggling on the way.
