It was the bird song and streak of sunlight sneaking through his curtains that woke Johnny up. He sat up, careful not to wake the girl next to him. The splitting headache brought the memories of last night back like a punch. Johnny remembered dirty dancing with his usual crowd, how he'd caught Keegan and Simon making out in the corridor, how he'd almost fallen over and cracked his head open when he was trying to wash his hands, that indulging scene of Keegan giving Simon a blow job and the murderous look in Keegan's eyes when they got caught.

The memory sent shivers down Johnny's spine but he was quickly distracted by his roommate stirring across from him. Looking closer he spotted another body in his roommate's bed, although, unlike the girl he had brought home, this body was now a familiar face.

Horangi sat up and ruffled his hair. He noticed Johnny also sitting up and the girl next to him, giving Johnny a smug look.

"Temporary or permanent?"

Johnny rolled his eyes and carefully leaned over, grabbing his stray boxers and shifting out of bed to pull them up.

Horangi huffed and averted his eyes as the person next to him whined. His eyes lit up and he pushed their hair out of their face.

"Good morning 아기. Don't panic, you're in my room." He said as the person started to shift around, distressed.

Johnny sighed slightly. They were so tooth achingly sweet together. Johnny's attention was taken away from the two love birds as his own guest sat up, the blanket held close to her chest. He smiles and walked over, picking up his sweatshirt as he went.

"Mornin', how ye feelin'?" He said softly as he handed his sweatshirt over for her to wear.

She returned the smile and slipped it over her head.

"A little sore but that was to be expected." She gave him a wink.

He blushed a little and turned away grabbing some clean clothes. He could hear her giggling as he giggled, and a small so shy get whispered.

About 20 minutes (and a phone number under the contact 'Maria') later Johnny found himself fully distracted by his roommate and his partner chatting to him as the three of them walked to the cafeteria for breakfast.

König was wearing a knee length purple skirt with a white cropped hoodie, a small 'They/Them' badge pinned to the hoodie, Horangi was wearing his classic cargo pants and k-pop hoodie combo, sporting his usual camo mask and sunglasses and Johnny was wearing navy cloth shorts and a tight t-shirt which showed off his biceps nicely.

They entered the cafeteria together and got their food, finding a table and sitting together. Johnny was peacefully enjoying his eggs and bacon until a hand slammed down on front of him. Everyone on the table jumped and looked over to see who had caused the commotion.

Johnny's stomach sank as he made eye contact with a very pissed off looking Simon with Keegan and Gary standing close by.

"Come with me. Now." Simon's word felt like poison and Johnny shivered.

He nodded and slowly got up from his seat, holding a hand out to stop Horangi getting up. König reached out and gently touched Johnny's arm, who gave him a reassuring smile before following Simon, the smile dropping as soon as his back was turned.

Johnny followed Simon all the way to the men's bathroom where he was abruptly shoved inside, stumbling, and he heard the door being locked. There were a few people already inside, standing by the sinks. One of them was holding a metal baseball bat as they sat on the counter top. Johnny froze as he felt Simon push his chest against Johnny's back, leaning down to speak into his ear.

"MacTavish, meet Ajax and the Walker brothers, Logan and Hesh."

Johnny swallowed taking in the sight in front of him, each man work a mask with individual skull patterns on. The one with the bat slid down from where he was sitting and stepped towards Johnny, letting the metal scrape across the floor.

"Now, they aren't aware of all the details but they also don't need to know in order to beat your skull in. So you'll do well to keep your mouth shut won't you?" Simon's voice was dangerously sweet and low and Johnny nodded frantically.

That was good enough for Simon and he stepped back.

"Good lad, see you around."

He turned on his heel and left, Gary and Keegan following behind. Johnny was shoulder checked by the three men that walked past him and before he knew it he was alone in the bathroom, trembling ever so slightly. Horangi placing a hand on his back brought Johnny out of his thoughts. He looks over at the man who's silently checking if he's okay and gives a small nod.

"Don't worry, it's all good."

Horangi didn't look convinced at all but decided to leave it and walk Johnny out. König was waiting outside, fiddling with their hoodie strings looking more worried than before. Johnny patted their arm briefly and started walking back to his room to collect his bag. The two partners let him go, getting the silent memo that he wanted to be alone.

When Johnny entered his room he finally took a deep breath.

"Fuckin' hell! That was the Ghosts I've heard about." He mumbled to himself.

The Ghosts were the rumoured gang of the town but no one had ever seen them in daylight before. Except Johnny, just now, and boy did they live up to the rumours. Individual skull masks to hide their identities, code names, active weapons and pure loyalty. Johnny couldn't decide if he should feel honoured to meet them or not, even if they were now after his ass, they were still legends! During his teen years Johnny had even wanted to become a Ghost but never had the balls to approach their territory and ask, although he would never admit to that out loud.

The thing that was mildly surprising, but not completely unexpected, was that Simon Riley knew the Ghosts and as Johnny left his room he thought about the idea that Simon could in fact be a Ghost himself. He pushed the thought away as he entered the lecture hall, spotting Kyle and going to sit next to him. He didn't see Simon or Keegan and let out a sigh of relief, Johnny definitely didn't want to have to deal with them within class, he would deal with them later but for now he needed to focus on his professor and his work. He would deal with everything else at a later date.
