why did you let me die?

i tried and i died.

The doctor couldn't tell what was happening at first, that was until his back slammed hard in the the sharp ledges of the stairs, knocking the wind from his lungs with a sharp gasp.

As he continued to tumble he tried his best to curl himself in to a ball, attempting to protect his head.

All he could hear was the loud thumps as he fell farther into the basement, his own sharp, strangled breaths and his own heart beat blaring in his ears.

He hit the cold cement floor.

Finally stopped he tried to catch his breath and look around but the basement was pitch black, not even his hand in front of him would show in the dark.

As he tried to catch his breath he began to panic, only now taking in the situation. His breath rapid and strained, broken sobs of both pain and fear ripped from his throat.

Once again the doctor curled into him self, now laying on the hard floor

'Think. Think. Think. Think-' trying his best to think of what to do now he quickly unfurled himself scrambling on hands and knees for the stairs

Nearly screaming in pain with each slight movement, he felt to floor and walls until his hands landed on the first step towards upstairs

"Embry?!" Pulling himself up the stairs, almost dragging his legs behind as his arms pulled him forward to the now shut door

"Embry please!"

Every part of him screaming for him to stop moving but he continued dragging himself up the last few steps till he could reach the door

"Embry please! Let me out! " he began to smash his fists on the door as the door couldn't be opened with out a key and from the outside

His wails continued until he heard  them, embry.

"No! Your not him... Your one of the monster trying to trick me again! " he could hear them yell as they backed away

"No please I promise it's really me, Dr d light! Please just let me out I'm hurt embry! "

...

"Embry! "

...

The doctor voice breaking As he stops the banging on the door
"... Embry? "

...

He was completely alone now, they had left him down here.

Sitting on the stairs, the adrenaline was starting to leave him as the intense pain filled it's place

He could feel every bruise, cut, scrape and broken bone, it was agony

He could also now feel the gash taking up most of the top and right side of his head, he could feel the small split in his skull where large shards of bone were missing.

Reaching up he could feel the steady stream of warm blood dripping down his back and shoulder covering most of his right arm by now

He began to panic even more as the urge to lay down and sleep became more and more compelling

"You sleep, you die, you sleep, you die, you sleep, you die" he whispered the words over and over and over again to himself hoping that they would keep him awake

But as his eyes slowly started to flutter shut and his words to slurred to be words anymore.

He gave in and shut his eyes for the last time, letting the bliss take over and dull all pain and fear .

"I tried and I died. "
