I didn't want him to ask why. I realized that I couldn't go to my house. I couldn't leave on the first day. I slide down and sit down on the floor leaning against the wall. He slides down next to me. He puts his arm over my shoulder. I stare at him for a moment, get up and run back to the classroom. I tried so hard not to talk to him. Not to like him. Not to talk to anyone. Not to let anyone in. No one can know.
