Caspian and Lila actually knew each other when she was in England.
Caspian knew Lila was a liar. He does his research. But he struck a deal with her. He wouldn’t expose her if Lila helped him get whatever girl he was flirting with. You see, Caspian has a reputation for being a playboy. It’s kind of hard for him to date when girls are wary of his reputation. Lila’s silver tongue solved his problem.
Caspian did his research for his temporary class on exchange program. His target: Marinette. Talented, pretty and smart. She’s got the connections and the leadership role.
Caspian called Lila early and demanded her help. But Lila and Marinette hate each other and Marinette likes Adrien.
Anyway, Lila owes Caspian nothing. If he won’t expose her as a liar, she won’t expose his dating history.
Caspian shrugs. But seeing some photos of Chat Noir and Marinette, and reading about Weredad, Caspian assumes Marinette loves the hero persona.
So when Lila introduces Caspian, she decides to hint that he is Chat Noir. Except Caspian had just arrived...
Anyway, Marinette and Adrien aren’t fooled. Marinette is annoyed that Caspian is flirting with her. While any other girl would be flattered, Caspian is a friend of Lila and is a liar himself. She isn’t interested. Marinette brushes off Caspian as easily as Ladybug brushes off Chat, she just does it as if Caspian were a gnat.
Gotta give Caspian crédit though. He sticks to what he believes is Chat Noir’s routine (he exaggerates Chat’s normal flirtation): stalk Marinette, intrude on her personal space, drive her crazy with endless cheesy pickup lines (got that from Megas XLR) and keeps pushing her friends away so as to talk to her.
This reflects badly on Lila since she already claimed Caspian as an old friend.
Alya isn’t happy with him either. She also doubts he is Chat Noir because he just came to Paris and she firmly believes he is faithful to Ladybug. This causes her to doubt Lila actually knows Ladybug.
Anyway, Adrien wonders if he was as bad when he hears Marinette complaining about how even Chat Noir wasn’t this pushy and tactless when flirting with Ladybug.
Marinette assures Adrien that Chat was way better than Caspian. Though he needs to understand rejection and support Ladybug instead of trying to steal her heart. Did he even consider how Ladybug must feel, having to constantly reject her best friend?
Adrien feels guilty. Plagg suggests he redeem himself by getting rid of Caspian.
Adrien tells Caspian to leave Marinette alone because he clearly isn’t wanted.
Caspian: the heart wants what the heart wants
Marinette: and my heart is telling me to punch you if you keep barging in on my personal space.
Caspian leans forward. “Wow. Kitty’s got claw- OOF!”

Marinette: i warned you.Lila doesn’t bother to defend Caspian.
Ms Bustier comes in. Adrien défends Marinette, saying Caspian was sexually harassing her and she was defending herself
