Chapter 1

June 2022

"Ready or not here I come." Celeste yells. "I wonder where you are" Celeste yells. "Are you guys in the closet?" She asks. Suddenly she hears some giggling. "I found youuuu" Celeste says opening the cabinet door. "YAYY" Jaylene yells. "Jax-Jax Celeste found me" Jaylene says getting on the couch. 

"Oh, she did?" He says putting his phone down and picking her up. "Yayyy" She says picking up his phone. "What were you doing" Celeste asks sitting beside him. "Just texting you know" Jaxon says. "Oh ok" Celeste nods laying her head on his shoulder.

"Celeste" Javian yells. Javian is Jaxon's little brother he is going to 8th grade this year "Yes, little man" She answers. "I need girl advice" He says sitting down next to her. "Ok go ahead" She says lifting her head up and turning towards him. 

"I'm on the football team right" He says. "Right" She says. "And I really like one of the cheerleaders" Javian says. "Ok" She nods. "So is there anything I can do to impress her." He says. "Don't try and do anything Javian just be yourself " I say. "Ok thank you so much Celeste" He says getting up. "Of course, little man"

"Celeste, Can you come to help me with dinner?" Mrs. Nina asks. Mrs. Nina is Jaxon's mom she is really nice. "Mom she didn't come to help you do stuff" Jaxon says. "Oh, it's ok Jax" Celeste says standing up. "Well when you're done I'll be in my room" He scoffs standing up and going upstairs.

"I'm sorry for asking for your help but now that Jayla's gone I need your help" She says hugging Celeste. "Oh it's ok I don't mind" Celeste says after they hug. "So I was thinking pasta" Mrs. Nina smiles. "Of course" Celeste smiles back.

"Oh boyfriend." Celeste says knocking on the door. "I'll call you back later" She hears him mumble. "Come in." He says. "Who was that" Celeste asks laying on his bed. "Oh just a friend" He says. "Uh ok" Celeste says. "Do you want a foot massage." He asks. "Of course I do" She says giving him her feet. "God that feels nice" She smiles. "Of course it does" He says mocking her voice.

"Do you have any scholarship offers?" She ask him. "No not yet. What about you?" He asks. "For grades a few. A few for volleyball and of course the ones for beta." She says laying her head down. "That's good!" He says still kneading her feet. "I hope you get some this year." She says closing her eyes and smiling. "Yeah me too." He says.

"Can we start going to your house" He ask finishing her foot massage. "But why?" Celeste asks. "I feel like we don't get to spend time together here." He says pulling her closer. "Well what are we doing now?" She smiles looking up at him. He kisses her lips. "Please" He asks pulling away. "Ok that's fine" Celeste says. "Good now let's sleep a little." He says kissing her forehead.

"Celeste" Jayla yells opening the door. Jayla is Jaxon"s older sister. "Hey Jay" Celeste says sitting up. "How are you girl?" Jayla asks sitting on the bed. "I'm pretty good. What about you?"Celeste asks. "Can't complain" Jayla nods. "We have to hang out while I'm still in town" Jayla smiles. "Yes Of course" Celeste. 

"What happened to knocking " Jaxon says turning over. "Hello to you to little bro" She says. "Also mom says dinners ready" She states getting up and leaving. "Point proven" He says sitting up. Celeste gets up and goes into his draw to get some shorts. "Can you throw me a shirt please" He asks. "Here" She says throwing the shirt. "Thank you baby" He says standing up and putting the shirt on. "I'm going downstairs ok" She says. 

"Wait" Jaxon says. "For what?" She asks. "Come here" He says. "Uh ok" She says walking towards him. As soon as she gets close enough to him he picks her up. "Jaxs put me down" She laughs. "Maybe in a minute" He says smiling at her.

"Glad you decide to join us Celeste" Mr. William says. "Thank you, I love having dinner with you guys."She smiles "Jaxon can you marry Celeste" Jayden his little brother in 8th grade asks. "Jayden shut up" Jaxon says rolling his eyes. "Are you staying the night Celeste? It's game night." Jayla asks. "I mean if it's ok with everyone" She smiles taking a bite out of the pasta. "Of course we love when you stay" Ms. Nina says.

"What are you thinking about for colleges" Mrs. Nina asks Celeste. "Maybe Aveda Institute" Celeste says. "Isn't that one of the best cosmetology schools in the United States?" Jayla asks passing the bread basket to Javian. "Yes, I have a scholarship to it just kind of depends on what career I decide on" Celeste says. 

"We should play Uno" Jayla suggest. Everyone just finished eating and the girls are cleaning the table while the guys are pulling games out the cabinet . "No Jayla monopoly is better" Jayden says shaking the box. "Celeste what do you think" Jayden asks. "Uh don't ask me" Celeste says laughing.

"Why don't we play Uno then Monopoly" Jaxon shrugs sitting on the sectional in the living room. "Ah brother you've finally say something smart" Jayla says sitting in the corner. "Javian it's your Friday to pick a movie" Mrs. Nina says. "Ice age" He says smiling. "Booooo" Jaxon says throwing a pillow at his younger brother.  "That Movie sucks" Jayden says. "Hey I like Ice age" Celeste says giving Javian a high-five.

"Ice age it is" Mr. William says grabbing the remote. "Baby come sit by me" Jaxon says looking at Celeste. "Ewww I think I'm gonna be sick" Jayla says fake gagging. Celeste laughs sitting down next to Jaxon. "So who's gonna be the banker" Javian asks

July 2022

"Ok what did you want to talk about?" Celeste asks sitting on his bed. "You know school starts back next month right" Jaxon asks her. "Yes Jax I'm aware." Celeste laughs. "And I really need to focus on my school work." He says looking at her. "Jax where are you going with this" She asks. "We need to break up" He says looking down. "Are you fucking serious" She says looking at him. "Cel I'm sorry." He says still looking down. "What the actual fuck dude." She shakes her head standing up. "It's just-" He starts, "Save it Jaxon" She scoffs standing up.

She closes his door and starts walking down. "Celeste where are you going we haven't played tea party yet" Jaylene says. "We can't play today sweetie ok maybe a different time." She smiles walking towards the door. "Celeste hey are you leaving"' Javian asks. "Yeah Jav if you ever need me you ask your brother for my number ok." She smiles walking out the door.

She gets in her car and drives away crying.

August 2022

"Mom come on" Celeste says. "Child why are you in such a rush" Her mom says. "I'm hungry that's all" Celeste says walking down the stairs. "Well we still have to go to the high school for you so slow your roll" She says. "Jayden" Ciara yells.  Ciara is Celeste little sister and she just happens to be Jayden's best friend "Oh hey Ciara" He says hugging her. "Celeste hi sweetie how are you?" Mrs. Nina says. "I'm ok, how are you?" Celeste asks back. "I'm pretty good" Mrs. Nina smiles.

"Jaxon look who it is" Jayden says. "Celeste how are you" He asks smiling. "I'm just peachy" She smiles the most fake smile ever. "You guys should come over to dinner tonight. Everyone misses you Celeste" Mrs. Nina suggest. "Celeste wouldn't that be fun" My mom says. "You know it would be but I have to tutor someone tonight sorry" Celeste says smiling. "Maybe a different time then" Mrs. Nina smiles. "Yeah maybe" Jaxon mumbles walking away. 

"Mom why the hell would you do that" Jaxon says as they walk away. "Do what?" She asks. "I stopped talking to Celeste for a reason" He says. "Mom i'm sorry but Jaxon your being a dick. We love Celeste so  keep your mouth shut" Jayden says rolling his eyes.

"So that's why you were in a rush to leave" Celeste's mom says. "Yes mom that's the reason" She says. "What happened between you two. You guys were so close." Her mom says. "Yeah mom but things happen" Celeste walking to the car.
