-Lucien-

It took me another few minutes before I could tear myself up and out of this bed. About ten minutes after the sound of the shower began.

I woke up feeling... tired. In an odd, natural way instead of a deeply embedded instinctive way.

Instinctively I felt, for lack of a better word, neutral. Not noticeable good or cripplingly bad but just... normal.

It was strange, but I tried not to dwell on it knowing that it wouldn't last me any more than a day at most.

It was good enough for me to offer her what I did and feel that I too could pull it off with my current energy level.

There was a curiosity as I said that even I didn't understand the deep details of between her and her Gabe.

Her strange obsession with someone who had been described as nothing above subpar, and playing him up like a god.

It wasn't often in my life that interesting topics such as this showed up. One's that don't include me in the slightest and I can instead watch from a distance as it all unfolds.

It was rare for me to see a disaster that didn't include me, and that's just what I felt like this little meet-up was going to entail.

Humans and their... strangely low expectations.

I rose up onto my feet, trudging over to the bathroom with a yawn.

The yawn ended with my rubbing my tongue over the roof of my mouth, then over my fangs that got left out last night.

She should consider herself lucky that the blood I took from her before that whole thing began saved her from the typical bite that came with engaging with a vampire in such ways.

Her odd blood kept me more than sated. It kept me focused, kept my instincts attentive, and cooperative on top of what I was already focused on.

It kept my drive going, and something about the knowledge that I was undoubtedly the best she's ever experienced.

I mean, obviously, that was going to be a given. I know of my skills, and I've heard such things before from the women I've bedded at the club.

It was just mildly different here I suppose, hearing it in a different light from someone I'd be forced to see again, and from someone who actually knew my name.

'Luci 'she called me. On more than one occasion. Sighing it out through feeble breaths while her thighs would close in on me.

And again when she'd hold me closer with her incredibly unsure holds.

Luci...

Strange.

I breathed in the steam from her shower the second I walked into the bathroom, turning towards the mirror to be met with my naked form and her blurred silhouette in the shower behind me.

Not moving with nearly enough vigor of someone who had somewhere important to be.

I ran a hand through my hair and worked out the few knots I ran into.

"Either hurry it up or I'm coming in there with you," I said, rubbing the back of my neck with both hands.

I was still cold, and the lack of clothes really added to my need to be under some hot water.

She squealed. Like actually squealed in surprise.

"What the fuck are you doing in here?! Don't you dare come any closer!" her voice echoed against the tile.
