𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 was excited to get off work early that day. She had been working 12 hour days for the last 4 days and finally getting off early was something she needed. She dragged her feet up the steps to her parents house, her eyes blurry from exhaustion. As she put the key into the door, she heard a crumbling sound from the backyard. Curious, the girl found herself staring towards the backward, seeing her dads truck and a black long bag on the ground, her father struggling to lift it. As Juliette stared, she could help but see red splotches across her fathers face and chest, his hands completely covered in the red substance. Not knowing what to do, Juliette went to call out to her dad but stopped when she saw what was in the black bag. A head rolled out from the bag and onto the cement, falling and crashing from where the bag now laid in the truck.

"Holy shit" Juliette whispered as she fell backwards and scrambled to the front door, unlocking the door and rushing in, slamming the door behind her and rushing to the home phone.

"9-1-1 what is your emergency," the dispatchers voice filled the room as Juliette put the phone up to her ear

"I need immediate assistance to 9781 Berkshire Plaze, 45092. I think I just witnessed the Las Vegas ripper in action. His name is Sullivan Carter and he was loading a body bag into the back of his truck. The license plate is BC2207, it's a 2005 ford f150, black almost charcoal color," Juliette informed all in one breathe, panic still filling her as she placed the call

"Juliette, what's going on?" Victoria asked her daughter as she wandered into the kitchen, a bottle of wine and a wine glass in hand

"okay ma'am, what is your name, we have dispatched multiple rigs to your current location and in the area around you," The dispatcher said calmly, trying to keep Juliette calm

"Juliette Carter, I'm his daughter," The girl said through a dry mouth, her entire body in shock and panic

"Okay, would you like to stay on the phone until he has been brought into custody," The dispatcher asked but Juliette politely declined, telling her she needed to grab her siblings and lock the doors before he came back

As Juliette placed the phone down, she heard the sirens outside and the shouting of her father. In panic, she ran to the doors and immediately locked all of them before rushing upstairs and grabbing her sleeping siblings. Juliana was 15 so she was the most understanding when Juliette told her about her father. Although Jack and Josh had been a different story. They were 13 and 11 so they didn't entirely understand what was happening as the police pulled up and forced their father into the large containment truck. They understood that he wasn't a good man but they didn't know what he did and Juliette was grateful for that. With her mother being useless, she got really close to her siblings and soon knew when they needed to talk. Seeing the tears that rolled down Josh's face as he saw the lights disappear from their street broke Juliette if she was being honest. She reached forward and wrapped all of them in a tight hug, making sure they knew she was there for them forever and always.
