'Cause she's sweet but a psycho

My brows crease in the middle unsure of what Eli means. No one has told me what we're doing here, nor have they told me that I have any part to play in whatever plan they have.

"What's going on?" I ask as he whisks me away from the dance floor.

"Tate found our mark. An Alpha that has been forcing she-wolves into breeder rotations. We've been hired to take him out. But the cabin is guarded and there's only one way in and one way out. We need to create a distraction so Dean and Hunter can get in."

"What's your plan to distract them?"

"Not sure," he beams at me, "but I'm very good at improvising."

We hurry towards the lower part of the back deck where a short set of stairs leads to the private cabins below. Sure enough there are two huge, armed guards just at the bottom of the steps at the entrance of the corridor. From the smell of them they're definitely wolves, likely warriors.

Eli reaches into his suit jacket where I see a flash of metal. "Are you insane?" I hiss at him, pushing the pistol back into his vest. "You can't just off the guards, the entire ship would go into lockdown."

He levels me with a patronizing look as if to say this isn't his first rodeo but he's wrong about this situation so I hold my ground.

"You have a better idea?" He challenges me.

"As a matter of fact, yes. I do." I steal his cell and reply to their group message "change of plans," then I throw my arms around his neck and use his surprise to thrust my tongue into his mouth.

His taste explodes on my tongue like pop rocks. He tastes of sweet mangoes and smokey barbecue. I suck on his tongue as if it were a piece of one of those velvety soft, delicious mangoes.

His hands go straight to my hips, one of which is exposed by the indecently high slit in my dress. Without breaking our kiss I run my hand down his body and cup him over his pants, his length already at half mast for me.

"Sunshine, not that I'm complaining but we'll have to pick this up later."

I roll my eyes and groan, "Gods, Eli, do I have to teach you everything?"

I throw myself back at him, walking him with me as we devour one another. There's nothing gentle about it, we're all tongues and teeth and desperation.

Yes, I think, this will work.

I guide him towards the stairwell, ripping at his bow tie and beginning to undo the buttons of his shirt. We go down two steps and then I tug him towards me making it look like he's the one that pushed me against the wall and then I grind myself against him.

"I need you now, I can't wait to get home," I moan loudly so the guards at the bottom of the steps can hear me.

Guiding the hand that's gripping my bare hip down inside the skirt of my dress, the plea in my ragged breathing gives him the okay to make our act look authentic.
