~ Arien ~

Summer break started with me almost getting kicked out of school on the last day of junior year but thanks to Aunt Kelly being the principal, I was let off with only a warning. Of course I was already used to the so called 'warnings' but this time was weird.

Instead of the usual "I'm letting you off with warning because I know you're just going through a silly phase of rebellion" it was "I'm disappointed with both of you, sit outside and wait for your mom" to which Layla and I responded with "Yes Aunt Kelly."

I was sitting down all bruised up from a fight that I didn't even start, after promising mom that I wouldn't get into any more trouble no matter what since the fight prior to this one had seemed to cause enough stress on her to the point it made me feel bad.

At first mom didn't believe I could do it which honestly fair enough I'm not exactly the goody-good in our family, but after coming back from winter break, second semester started and I was anything but trouble, doing my utmost best to stay out of trouble that was until sixth period today when I overheard Layla's so called friends planning on jumping her in the bathroom and filming all of it.

Which of course immediately my big sister mode turned on and I stood up to what seemed to be six or seven girls, none of which were taller than me, but sheesh if Layla was about to be jumped these girls would have definitely had a chance. First they taunted me for getting caught and mocked me for trying to be a hero over some smartass kid in our grade and said they were just trying to put Layla in her place.

Second; they didn't know I could not only take a punch but also give one back right away if given the opportunity to follow up. Third, they didn't know the: little smartass miss perfect they were trying to put in place was my younger sister, maybe if they had paid attention to when our teachers called on us during attendance they'd know that theirs only two people in this school with the last name "Kane" but obviously this wasn't the brightest bunch of girls in the school which made me question even more how the heck they were friends with Layla of all people to be friends with Layla chose these shanks, sometimes I wonder who's the real brains in the family.

After smashing two girls down and finishing three other girls by yanking them by their hair and bumping I was starting to get a bit winded, these girls weren't good at fighting but their scratching and throwing random stuff at me eventually lead to me getting cornered, more girls showed up in front me mocking me on how I should have seen this coming and how it'd be worse for the little smartass.

Here's a little info on my smartass sister;Layla isn't the spontaneous one in the family; she hates surprises and thinks they're a waste of her time.

Today must have been an exception, because she popped out nowhere and went wild, you'd think after not training MMA for five years the brat would be rusty but it was as if she'd never stop going to class.

Layla flew the room roundhouse kicking a girl to the floor then shoved another girl towards the others, running to my aid. She scanned the room then glanced at me; I nodded recovering from the blows I had taken now back to back with her.

There was around roughly 10? 15? Girls surrounding us, but it didn't matter anymore, Layla and I against them, my baby sis came through finally.

"I can't believe they were just pretending." Layla snaps me back to the present

"At least you won't have to deal with them anymore plus I did try to tell you about them this past summer" I say in a told you so voice

Layla shot me a look before replying.

"Not helping!"

"Uh how s-"

"You wouldn't understand. . . ." Layla started tearing up which made me even feel worse about all of this, I tried to compensate for it.
