8 years ago....A woman named Aliya was sitting inside a room filled with tools, wires and metal scraps. She meddled with a circular mental piece before letting out a deep sigh and leaning on her chair.
"It's no use, I can't think of any other way to make it read movements a bit more clearer" She raised her arm with the metal piece in her hand towards the light above her head and examined it, twisting it around before dropping it back on the desk and holding her head.
"Maybe I'll go grab a drink"
She got up from her seat and made her way towards the kitchen. She took out a glass cup from a cabinet above the sink and placed it down on the counter. She then opened the fridge and brought out an orange juice cart and started to fill her cup with it before placing the cart back inside the fridge. She took out her phone and sat down. She started to scroll down on her messages before looking up at the time. She jumped up in a panic and spat out her drink.
"Ali! I forgot to pick him up from daycare!" Aliya started to run around the house. She wore her hijab, picked her coat and keys up and left the house. She turns on her car and started to drive towards the daycare.
After a 5 minute ride she arrived and saw her son standing outside with one of the care takers holding his hand. She drove in front of them, got out of the car and embraced a hug towards his son.
"Mommy!" Ali said as he lets go of the care takers arm and hugged her mother tightly.
"Miss Aliya, your later then usual. Did something happen?" The care taker asked Aliya wondering about her situation.
"I was taking a break from my shift and forgot about the time. I'm so sorry that I bothered you" Aliya voiced.
Her story that was told were neither the truth nor a lie. She was taking a break but not from her shift but from a different type of work line then what has been assumed.
"Mommy! Mommy! Look!" Ali cheerfully remark as he presents a small rocket model that was made out of cardboard. "I made this for you" giving his mother an innocent face.
Aliya took the rocket from his hands and pulled his son for a hug. "It's beautiful baby!" She was crying happy tears and that made Ali's smile turn upside down.
"Does mommy not like it?" Ali asks with a sad tone. Aliya jumped up and spun her son around. "Of course I do Ali! This was the best thing you've ever made" Aliya vocalize. The voice of Ali and the care takers voice laughing was all that could be heard to her ears. Aliya and Ali then waved goodbye to the care taker as they set off. Once they arrived at the house, Ali's father, Ghazali was waiting in the living room for their return. Once they both stepped foot inside, Ghazali lifted Ali up and twirled him around like an airplane.
"There's my happy little joy boy" Ghazali commented as Ali laughed.
"Aw...what about me babe? Did you not miss me?" Aliya said as she walked towards them and hugged Ghazali.
"Don't be silly Aliya of course I do" he gestured as he pulls her in for a kiss.
"Gross daddy!" Ali screamed and wiggled himself out of his father's grip. The two parents laughed at his remark. They all sat down in the living room and watched some TV while waiting for their ordered food to arrive. When it finally came, they all sat at the dining table together while having conversations and playing around.
