Title:Forced Love

As the sun rises and the birds chirp loudly in the sky, Neteyam slowly rises from his slumber.Rubbing his eyes gently before he looked towards his parents figure.He notices how they huddled together, hushed whispers were all to be heard.As he focused in on what they were saying,"I think she would be a perfect match for our Neteyam" Neteyam's whispered to his father, this caused his father to nods intently"No doubt about it, they have known each other for a while, she's a strong warrior and an extremely good healer, she would be the perfect Tsa'hik" Jake said confidently.

Neteyam stood up abruptly and marched over to his parents,"Who would be a good match for me?" He questioned both his parents.This has caused his mother to gasp softly at Neteyam's sudden arrival.Jake cleared his throat before speaking,"Me and your mother have been talking and we believe that Y/n will be a great match for you" Jake's eyes drifted towards Neteyam's scrunched up eyes.Neteyam thought about all his options, he could retaliate and cause his parents great sorrow or he can agree with this whole plan without a complaint- He decided on the latter."Do I have a choice Sir?" Neteyam asked his father."We are not forcing you, we just think she would be a good candidate" Jake said sternly; judging by his fathers tone, he wouldn't be happy if Neteyam didn't agree with him.Neteyam nodded before walking off to his siblings with a scowl placed upon his face.

the very same morning you appeared to greet him before attending to your chores, you happily greet him with a huge smile on your face. Instead of him greeting you how he normally does he gives you a death stare before walking in the opposite direction, not giving you a second thought.

You don't understand why he's seemed so angry this morning it is so unusual for him but you don't have the time to run after him so you go complete you chores and decide to come back later to check on him.Hoping that the space you give him to cool of will help him.

You come back after two hours and go to greet Neteyam again but this time he shrugs you off and again walks in the opposite direction, you go to run after him and grab his arm preventing him from walking away from you again."what's wrong Netey?" You ask him.'Netey' is a nickname you gave him long ago when you were both little children.He pulled his arm away from your grasp roughly. "Go away Y/n, and stop with that annoying nickname" he shouted at you.You were taken aback, he's never shouted at you before."did I do something wrong?" You ask him.This causes the frown on his face to deepen." I said leave me alone" that was all he said before he walked off once more.You watched as he walked away from you, eyes begin to water slightly but you quickly wipe them off, not wanting to dwell on the situation too much, you walk off back to your hut.

You go to sit down on your bed mat, laying your head on the wall beside you.Your mind drifted off to when you two were both children.
You and Neteyam are racing through the first together, jumping from tree to tree without a care in the world.Huge smiles are placed on both yours and Neteyam's face." I'm going to get you Y/n!" He screamed from behind you while you begin to pick up your pace.Many giggles and laughter is heard from you,"No you won't!" You scream back at him.

He eventually catches up to you and grabs your arm preventing you from running away however you had lost your footing and brought both you and Neteyam to the floor-Luckily you two weren't too high up.You both crash to the floor; you end up falling on top of Neteyam"Oh no Neteyam are you okay" you worryingly ask.Neteyam pretends to play dead and you shake him nervously, scared he actually got hurt.Suddenly Neteyam jumps up causing you to jump back in surprise."Ahh!" You scream.Tears begin to form at the counter of your eyes."Jerk!" You shout at him.Neteyam instantly feels bad and goes to give you a big hug."I'm sorry I was just joking around" he tells you"I would never hurt you!" He tells you confidently.Your teary eyes go to his confident ones."really?" You ask him."Of course because I'd never be rude to my future mate!" He stands him, puffing his chest out.
