E: I'm on my way - boss let me leave early
Y: Yesssss! Finally we can drag JK out of his hole for a night out
J: Ha. Ha. See you soon Woo
After Jungkook graduated University, he expected a party, maybe a few gifts from his family. What he didn't expect was his grandfather handing him a set of keys had driving him over to the house that he'd bought for him. He could only agree when his grandfather told him he'd never get another birthday or Christmas present after this.
So he became a homeowner at twenty-two, in a home that he could see himself living in for a long time to come. At first, he had a roommate, someone he knew from high school. But then he found out that he'd been selling weed from the house. If they were both renters, Jungkook wouldn't have cared that much, but the house was his and he felt beholden to his grandfather to be a responsible adult - so no drug dealers.
When his parents had found out, they were sufficiently scarred from any other potential roommates and so told Jungkook they'd take on some of the expenses for the house until his business was providing a steady income. They believed in him, and had his back, and he was grateful for their support. So he lived alone, in a three bedroom house with two bathrooms, a garage, and a pretty decent backyard.
Three years later, he felt pretty good about the house and his situation. He was getting a more steady flow of customers for his graphic design, and was reaching a point where he was considering hiring an assistant to help manage the influx of requests, manage some of the accounting, which would free up some time for him to seek out more high-profile and high-paying jobs, and dedicate a little more time to his side-gig doing commissions for portraits or sketches for extra cash. His illustrations of people's pet - particularly dog owners - were really popular.
His parents were happy for him, which was always good, and his grandfather didn't regret giving him the house since it was always kept in great condition because Jungkook kept it clean and neat at all time. At first out of respect for is grandfather, and then it became habit. His friends were amused whenever they commented on it, remembering his childhood bedroom had been a disaster zone in his teens. So he didn't really need to clean or set anything up for Eunwoo or Yugyeom when they arrived.
He and Yugyeom were childhood friends, from Grade 2 until Year 12 they were always placed in the same class and naturally became close like brothers. They'd attended the same university in the city, but in different departments; Jungkook in the arts, Yugyeom in physiotherapy. University was where they'd met Eunwoo, who fit with them so easily it was like they'd been friends for years. He was in the same department as Yugyeom, but instead of physiotherapy, he was studying exercise science and nutrition. Jungkook definitely benefited from having physio-in-training and nutritionist friends once he got serious about his body and working out.
Jungkook and Yugyeom moved back to their hometown after university, but Eunwoo stayed in the city. Once or twice a month, they met up in either place depending on their schedules, and spent one or two days catching up. Jungkook had missed the last trip to the city two weeks prior, because of Jimin's engagement party.
At the recollection of that night, Jungkook felt his gut tighten and closed his eyes, remembering hands on his body, moans in his ears, the feeling of Taehyung around him. It had been two weeks and Jungkook had thought about it every day, multiple times a day sometimes. He hadn't been able to stop thinking about Taehyung, stop wanting to feel him again, to fuck him.
