Ok. My head really hurts and I'm not sure what to do right now. Mascara has run all the way down my cheeks and I look like a really miserable, hungover zombie. I hate my life right now. Here's what happened at my first collage party...

Adam, Rose and I walk in and look around. There's music playing from the speakers at full blast, and I'm suddenly regretting coming here. There's cleche red cups everywhere and crazy collage students grinding on the dance floor.

I stop in the door way and look around me. Then I silently move behind Adam so that his body is shielding mine. He looks down at me and smiles.

"What are you doing?" he asks, looking at me like I'm a crazy person.

"What do ya think I'm doing?" I ask and he shrugs, "Well, idiot, I'm hiding from all the nasty people at the party." He makes an "oh" face and rolls his eyes.

"Come on, Mia," he smirks, "live a little will you? Have some fun!!!"

My answer to that question was an emphatic 'no', but the stubborn people that they were,Rose and Adam didn't take no for an answer. Finally, Adam was called away by a bunch of guys that I think he knew and I was left alone with Rose.

She glares at me and I look at the floor.

"I don't have a choice, do I?" I ask.

"Well done. Now let's go!" She practically shouts. I follow her into the crowd of people in the house and I laugh to myself. This should be fun...

One and a half hours into the party and I was alone. I had one of the plastic cups in my hand, but the cheap bear in the cup made my stomach churn, so I just clasp it between my fingers as I sway along to the music. I don't know where Adam is, but he left me alone about an hour ago because he wanted to go dance. I don't dance. Ever. So I have been left alone because Rose has gone off with her friends as well.

When the song changes to something a little slower, I go off to find Adam. I walk into the lounge where some people are dancing, others are sprawled across the couches and more people are making out. I can see that Adam is not in here, so I go to the next room, the kitchen, where people are playing drinking games, others are just drunk.

"Hey, babe, can I get you a drink?" A guy comes up and asks me.

"No, thank you," I smile slightly and try to walk away, but he grabs my arm and pulls me back.

"I think you really need to loosen up," He smirks, "let me help you with that." Keeping one hand on my arm, he brushes some hair away from my face then he leans in and kisses me roughly. At first I just stand there, trying to work out what's happening to me, then I try to get him off of me. I push on his chest and he forces my hands down to my sides. Now I resort to 'self defence'. I knee him in the balls and when he doubles over in pain, I slap his face.

"I have a boyfriend, asshole." I spit from between my teeth.

"No, you don't." I freeze when I hear those words. Adam. I spin around and I swear all the colour drained from my face.

"Adam, its not..." I begin, my voice shaking.

"Really, then what is it?" He shouts, and the room goes quiet.

"Adam I ..." I try to speak, but he interrups me.

"You what?" He throws his arms up in the air when he speaks, "You made a mistake? It was an accident? You didn't mean to? Or did it just happen? Because please, tell me?"

"He kissed me!" I scream, tears running down my face.

"Oh, you really think I would believe that? You've been off all week. Don't you love me anymore!" I look into his eyes and see their red. He's drunk and high. Well, that didn't take him long.

"Adam, please stop," I say slowly, "stop before you do something you'll regret doing in the morning."

"Oh, I think you've already done that, Mia." He says, then he turns and walks away.

I run out of the room, searching for someplace quieter, but then I realise that I'm never going to forget this by going someplace quieter, so then I go into the kitchen.

"Give me your strongest," I say while I swing myself into the barstool at the island in the middle of the kitchen.

"Are you sure you can handle that, sweetie?" The guy who is in control of the drinks asks.

"I need to forget," I say simply, "So gimme your strongest."

"Okay..." He says under his breath, pouring different drinks into one cup. The he hands me the cup. "Try drink it all in one go. It makes it better." I nod and lift the cup to my lips. I take a deep breath and pour the liquid from the cup into my mouth.

I squeeze my eyes shut and pull a face. The drink tastes gross, and it burns as it slides down my throat. When I finished drinking, I shake my head, feeling the alcohol coarse through my veins.

"Well done, another?" The guy says. I nod, but tell him to make it lighter.

Three drinks later I'm dancing with some boy, when I hear a giggle.

"Adam, come on!" A girl squeals, and then lower, "let's go upstairs."

I mentally gag as I slowly turn around to face them. Then I freeze. Adam is kissing with a pretty girl with reddish hair. They're going into the hallway towards the stairs. I dread to think what will happen between the two of them.

"Babe, why are you crying?" The guy I was dancing with says.

"It's nothing." I slur, trying to be heard over the music. I think he can tell I'm lying, but he just shrugs and carries on dancing to the music pounding out of the speakers.

Before I know what I'm doing, I run out of the house and into the streets of the collage campus. It's only now that I realise that this must be a frat party. Great.

I run all the way back to mine and Rose's dorm, then I tumble into bed. I lay there crying for a bit, then I fall into a deep, drunken sleep.

So that's how I ended up here. Rose didn't come home last night, so I hope she had fun doing whatever she was doing. Shudder.

I'm fixing my makeup when a knock sounds at the door.
