A sound of sirens rang in the distance, only getting closer by the second. Namjoon opened the door and held Mr. Smith, making sure the male couldn't run away before the police got there. Only a few seconds passed as the cars pulled up to their door, putting Mr. Smith in handcuffs so the male couldn't do anything to hurt anyone else "right.. before we do anything more, we need to hear all of what happened" An officer said as she then walked inside after getting permission "where's the boy? Jungkook was it? We need to talk to him" she said as she looked around "oh he's in the bath right now.. we though.. it'd be good for him to have a nice relaxing wash, before this.. as well as the face he was covered in dirt and cold from running here, he'll be down soon though" Hoseok explained as the officers nodded in agreement, seeing how the boys cared "alright then, well if we here what Mr. Smith has to say first while we wait for Jungkook to come down"
Jungkook grabbed a sponge as he winced a little from the water and bubbles stinging his skin, now just trying to clean himself up the best he could "here.. let me help, I'll do your hair pup" Taehyung said as he could tell Jungkook just wanted to sleep, his first no moon day and it was a one full of events, not giving the boy any time to rest at all. Taehyung got some shampoo before massaging it gently into the boy hair, smiling as he looked over at Jim. The eldest sat back and smiled as he watched them "I'm gonna leave you to up here, I hear that they've arrived.. so I'm going to go and do that" Jin explained as he made his way back down and gave a small smile to the officers before sitting with his pack
Mr smith had finished explaining his side of what had happened, now groaning as he tried tugging on the handcuffs "ugh.. Get these things off me. I've not done anything wrong!" He yelled "sir. I'm gonna have to ask you to calm down or we will have you sit in the back of the car while we deal with this" One of the officers said as they looked to see another male coming into the room.
About 10 minutes passed as Jungkook finally came downstairs holding onto Taehyung's hand, hiding behind the male as he chewed on his lip anxiously. The rest of the pack looked over as the made space for Jungkook to sit down. Once he was sat with them, he began to get questioned by the police as he kept flicking his eyes over to Mr. Smith, seeing the male glaring at him "so Jungkook, is it true that this male has hurt you? Or done things to you?" The officer asked as she sat on a stool by the couch. Jungkook fidgeted with the sleeves of Namjoon's hoodie he wore, now nodding as he didn't make eye contact with her, his head slightly dropped down "if he has marked you, such as bruising or anything else, can you show us?" Was another question asked, making Jungkook whimper a little, only rolling up his sleeve a little bit was stopped by Taehyung "remember why we took the pictures hun.." he whispered softly, sensing Jungkook was a bit uncomfortable on showing everyone in the room. Taehyung had taken a picture of the males front and back when Jungkook was half dressed, obviously with the pups consent, now getting out his phone to show her "this was just upstairs before we came down" Taehyung stated as the officer nodded "alright then, well it is obvious that he has multiple injuries, new ones and older ones, and Jungkook, you don't do any sports or anything that could have also made these? I just have to make sure" Jungkook then nodded slightly "I only moved here about a month and a half ago, I haven't really been doing much.. just.. school and back to the smiths house.." he said quietly "and what about the running off? And not being in the house at night?" She enquired, tilting her head slightly "I j-just wanted to get away from him.. I came here.. cause I trust them.. and feel safer" the pup muttered as the officer now nodded "alright then, well we're gonna take him to the station and keep him there while we look into this more, Thankyou for talking to u-" the officer soon got cut off by someone running into the house.
Mrs. Smith breathed heavily as she now looked at them all. She had followed mr. Smith through the woods, staying behind a little so she didn't get caught. "M-Mrs smith!" Jungkook said as he got up and ran to her, giving her a gently hug "hey there Koo.." she whispered as she smiled weakly "I wanna also say something too if I can" she said to the officers, now going off to the side with one, letting Jungkook go back to the others.
She talked about how the fact Jungkook wasn't the only one getting hurt by him and that if she had said anything sooner, he'd have done something much worse. Just them Mr. Smith was escorted out of the house and into the back of the police car, now seeing some of the officers leave to head back with him "we'll come back and talk again soon, but just stay safe for now, both of you and hopefully things will be better for the pair of you now" the officer said before they all finally left.
Jungkook felt a sort of relief coming off his chest, now that he didn't have to worry about Mr. Smith any more but then something else popped into his head "wait.. I.. I don't have to move away so I?.." he said as he looked around to the others as Mrs. Smith now came over "hey.. Koo.. you can stay with me.. or these guys.. you'll still be under my care.. but I don't mind you staying here, if this is where you prefer to be.. i understand they mean a lot to you" she said as a small smile came to her face. Namjoon smiled as he felt happy she was trying to help them "I'll tell the school you won't be in tomorrow since of what happened today.. hopefully they understand and also.. you don't have to hid from me either.." she said as she cupped Jungkook's face, "I know.." she spoke again, now caressing his cheeks "know what?.." Jungkook said in confusion, now looking into her eyes, his eyebrows furrowed slightly "come on.. im not that stupid.. you run away every full moon Koo.." she whispered as she then chuckled a bit "but don't worry.. I'll keep it a secret, do they know too or?" Jungkook let out a small 'oh' as he then let out a quiet giggle "mmh.. they know.." he said quietly as he then looked to them all "yea, we know, we're also.. erm.. like him too, that's why we wanted him to stay.. so we didn't loose him.. we knew he was all alone" Yoongi said as he then looked at her "Awh.. well don't worry, he's not going anywhere, and I can take care of you all if you want too, also if you need anything I can help" she said softly
Jungkook smiled as he then sat back down, cuddling up to the others as he finally feeling like he belonged somewhere
