As soon as I opened the door; I was greeted by an energetic red head. "Alice where have you been! I been running around all day looking for you, so I could give you your glass of water," she said extending the glass to me.

Oh, that's right. Madeline went to go get me water, when we were still in the library.

I stared at the glass and started to burst out laughing; I lean on the wall for support. Madeline stared at me confused with the glass still in her hand. "Madeline you know; you didn't have to come looking for me just to give me the glass of water," I wiped off a tear caused by my laughing fit.

She sigh, "Well, do you want the water or no?"

I took the glass from her hand and took a sip. "Yea, I will take it," I shrug.

"Okay. Well, bye Alice; I will see you at the ball tonight," she said in her usual happy tone, and went towards the door.

"Hi Levy," she said on her way out the door.

I turned around to see Levy coming in the room and closing the door behind her; in her hand was a big black bag. The dress must be in there. "You ready for tonight Alice," asked Levy.

"Yea, I guess so," I shrugged. "So when does the ball start exactly?"

Levy went over to my closet and put the dress inside, so it wouldn't get ruin. "The ball starts at 8:00 and right now it's 6:00, so you have about an hour to do whatever you want; before you have to get ready."

"Well, I'm going to be going to the music room for the remainder of time. Come and get me when it's time to get ready," I started towards the door to leave.

"Alice wait," Levy grabbed onto my wrist and spun me around to face her.

"What?"

"Be careful around Blair; don't get your heart broken."

She let go of my wrist and walked out of the room to somewhere else. Be careful? Don't get your heart broken? Am I that easy to read; for people to find out that I have a crush on Blair? I shook my head to get out of my dreadful thoughts. I don't need to be thinking about that stuff right now; all I need to be thinking about is the ball tonight and protecting Blair.

I went out of my room and walked towards the one place that I know I can clear my mind from these thoughts; any thoughts actually.

The music room.

** Blair's POV **

I looked at the mirror to see my reflection. My long brunette wavy hair, my light chocolate eyes, my figure that people call 'perfect' and of course my face that reminds me so much of my mother. People always said I looked like her, but had my father's eyes.

I heard my door creaked open and saw that my maid came in; through the mirror's reflection, Ava Lavici. Ava was the most innocent and harmless person here at the castle. Everybody thinks it's actually Levy who is the most innocent, but that's all just an act. You can clearly tell it's an act by her smirk and how she guards herself; as if she has a secret she's hiding. But I won't dig into it unless I know she will physically try to harm me. I did choose the staff myself when my parents passed away, and I chose the ones that would be loyal to me and not try to overthrow me.

Ava was wearing blue jeans, a light pink blouse and black flats. Her long, wavy blonde hair was flowing down her shoulders; like usual.

"Yes Ava," I asked wanting to know why she was here.

She sigh," I saw you messing with Alice in the hallway earlier."

"And," I said in a bored tone.
